Valentine's Weekend ((RF))

On the weekend of Valentine's Day (the 13th and 14th), Hogsmeade was hosting a Valentine's festival. Today (Saturday 13th) was the day of the parade: cupids swarmed the streets spreading cheer and spirit, and decorative floats were led by the local businesses. The streets were full of life and rammed full of witches and wizards from across the country, as well as the students of Hogwarts as this was their designated weekend visit. There were various stalls selling Valentines and Springtime merchandise: Honeydukes had a large one selling their chocolates, and The Three Broomsticks were ladelling out their special love-filled brews.

There were carnival rides, games and prizes to be won for 'you and your sweetheart'. As the crowds are thick and the demand is high, there's a lot that could go unnoticed. Still, you're just here to enjoy yourself - right?

Jerrica was walking through Hogsmeade drinking a bottle of pumpkin juice as she tried to find her way through the seas of people there; the crowd was worse than a sporting event!

"Excuse me!"

Maddox heard a small voice and looked around and saw a girl trying to push her way through the crowds. He chuckled a bit before reaching into the crowd and pulling her out. It was then that he recognized her from Illvermony, "Gotta be tougher than that, Jerrica. Put some elbow into your shove."

"You know Mats and I always take precautions. It's Kenzie you should worry about. That twerp stole our clothes and left us for America because of a guy!" She rolled her eyes just thinking of that little annoyance.

Gabby was too innocent to end up knocked up. It was only recently her younger sister even showed an interest in boys.

Seeing Maddox, she crossed her arms not liking that attempt at advice.

"I don't like being rude! I'm trying to keep the peace by being polite!"

"Keep the peace? Ya act like we're at war here." He said as he grabbed a candy apple from a near by cart and handed it to her, "Maybe this can cheer ya up a bit."

Astrid was wandering around on her own which wasn’t like her at all! She was one of those girls who was always surrounded by her friends but she hadn’t run into them there yet. That is, until she heard the sound of one of her best friends’ voice behind her. A smile came to her lips as she reached out and took the chocolate rose from her friend. ”Of course. I don’t even mind stealing you away from mh brother. The holiday is lost on him anyway.” she said with a giggle of her own as she kept possession of the chocolate rose.

Amara walked up to the drink booth only to see that one of the healers and a professor were standing there guarding it. Great. A little pout came over her face. Why were the school staff here guarding the drinks anyway? Didn’t they get to enjoy the event too? A sigh left her slightly parted lips as she realized she was either going to have to sneak passed them or find some other way to make this thing more bearable

Gabby wasn’t sure how it was that she always ended up getting separated from everyone when she came to these events! Though, she knew that neither Aquila nor Ethan were anywhere to be found. She decided she would step out of the crowd a bit and into the Three Broomsticks. It was generally busy but it seemed that most of the crowd was outside instead which she was glad for. She quickly spotted one of her sisters and brothers chatting away at the bar and approached them, throwing her arms around there shoulders as she stood between them. ”I didn’t expect to see you two hiding out in here.” she said with a genuine smile on her lips, having no idea what they had been talking about before she had approached them.

Carina laughed a bit, "I know you could if you wanted to. But hopefully the holiday isn't a complete mystery to him. I happen to enjoy Valentine's day as it's a day for me to get showered with love and affection. So hopefully, he didn't forget that he has a girlfriend this year." She was a bit worried now that the event would go entirely over his head.

Her face lit up the moment she saw Gabby show up. Thinking of the devil...

"Gabby! Have you drank yet? If not, we're going to make sure you have your first drink as an adult!"

Medea glanced over at Mason with a knowing nod, hoping he'd also want to celebrate their younger sister's birthday rather belatedly.

Mason smiled slightly as Gabriella appeared, "Gabby, love, why are you alone? Don't you normally have that American puppy dog at your heels?" When he looked at Medea, he smirked, "Yes indeed. Gabby's first alcoholic consumption." He knew that was probably a false fact. He knew how Hogwarts was. He held up three fingers to the barkeep signaling his need for three firewhiskeys

Hunter didn't have a date for Valentine's day but that didn't bother him. It just meant he could console all the poor broken hearted girls looking for a shoulder to cry on. He stood at one of the kiosks looking at the items they had for sale

Without having a special somebody to distract his thoughts with, Thius was closer to the outskirts of Hogsmeade counting to himself; he was afraid he'd go on some sort of rampage when just about all of wizarding Britain were enjoying the village.

He noticed Ptolemy and Alayna going near one of the food kiosks, so he rushed over there deciding it'd be better to have company.

"Hello, Ptolemy and Alayna," Thius greeted as he adjusted his blazer.

Lukas was walking around, looking at all the stupid love centered decor. It made him sick. Especially after finding out about Atticus and James and their stupid infedelity filled hookup. As if summoned by the devil himself, he saw James. Suddenly, anger overwhelmed his body and he approached him, "Oi Potter!"

James was still looking for Lien when the contents of his bon-bons shook at the mere sight of an extremely pissed off Lukas.

"What the bloody hell do ya want?"

He must've found out.

Lukas didn't say anything. When he reached James, he just pulled back his arm and punched him straight in the nose, "Who the fuck do you think you are? You broke Atticus! You start dating Chang then you go around and fuck Atticus behind his back!"

Alayna smiled when Thius approached, "Hey Thius." Then she heard shouting and turned to see Lukas punch James in the face, "Oh god...." He must have found out about Atticus, "Um... Should we break that up?"

"I broke him..? We both had our own shit to deal with, alright?"

Some blood began to trickle out of his nose and down to his mouth. Did he chew his lip a ton again? The fact he was punched didn't hit him, likely from the amount of stimulation in his surroundings.

"My bloke already knows what happened! Fuck sake..."

Lukas laughed at his excuses, they were donright hilarious to him, "Oh wow. You were honest about cheating. That makes it all better doesn't it?" Lukas was feeling hurt. He really cared for Atticus and to have this shit happen again was like a slap to the face.

"What we do or did is none of your business. I don't sleep with just any guy that crosses my path." Sure, he and Atticus hadn't done much. But he wasn't trying to rush into anything. But he was definitely tired of being a consolation prize

"Doesn't seem like it." Lukas said with a glare. He understood now why Ptolemy hated him with the passion he did. He wanted nothing more than to punch him again, "It's none of your business how I found out."

"I've only bloody shagged him and my bloke these past few months! I ain't like Mats Riddle!"

What a way to be spending his first Valentine's with Lien. There was always something to go wrong.

Then he wiped under his nose thinking it was just some sinus drainage only to see blood on the side of his finger.

"Bloody hell! I ain't gonna punch ya back 'cause I'm the adult!"

And the last thing he wanted was some disparaging headline. Urgh!

"Can't bloody help that Atticus likes his blokes with an appetite!"

"So you say." Lukas was already getting hired of this. Maybe Atticus wasn't worth the headache. He scoffed at his excuse, "Sure. Wouldn't want any news getting out about you. Very convenient. I think you're just scared." His glare then narrowed in, "And apparently he likes them with no morals either. Gay yet you knocked up a girl then you drop out of school and get with your hookups sisters ex. That would make for a lovely story in the daily prophet. Potter lacks any sense of moral compass. I can see it now."
