Valentine's Weekend ((RF))

On the weekend of Valentine's Day (the 13th and 14th), Hogsmeade was hosting a Valentine's festival. Today (Saturday 13th) was the day of the parade: cupids swarmed the streets spreading cheer and spirit, and decorative floats were led by the local businesses. The streets were full of life and rammed full of witches and wizards from across the country, as well as the students of Hogwarts as this was their designated weekend visit. There were various stalls selling Valentines and Springtime merchandise: Honeydukes had a large one selling their chocolates, and The Three Broomsticks were ladelling out their special love-filled brews.

There were carnival rides, games and prizes to be won for 'you and your sweetheart'. As the crowds are thick and the demand is high, there's a lot that could go unnoticed. Still, you're just here to enjoy yourself - right?

Maddox wasn't one for Valentine's day or festivals or anything like that. But some of his housemates had convinced him to at least give it a shot. So now he was surrounded by people being all cute and love sick. It was disgusting.

Following her line of sight, he smiled and stood up, offering his hand to her.

"We can go on the Ferris Wheel, Marilyn," he said cheerfully.

She got up from the bench holding onto Reggie tightly with one arm and her hand holding Louis'. "Do you think the line will be long?"

He pocketed his wand and sighed.

"You're lucky you're so terribly cute, dear, or I would have blasted half the street up along with him..."

He smirked at her. "Come - let's get you something to eat."

He led her off in the opposite direction to where Chang went.

Carrying a parasol to help shield her from the rays, while also making her look more romantic, Winter headed towards the kissing booth and smiled at Matilda.

"Aren't you darling?"

As he got further away, he passed a Ferris wheel and saw Marilyn holding hands with Louis Weasley. It sparked a bit of annoyance in him and he glowered towards them, but it wasn't uncommon for him to look that way. He went up to them. "You datin' now?" he asked her.

Alayna blushed a bit at Ptolemys words and kissed him deeply, not caring about anyone who might see them, "alright then." She said as she took his hand and followed him to go and find food, "Your daughters are demanding chocolate and chips."

James smiled at Dominique reassuringly. "You can always message or call him, y'know? I'm sure he'd pick up."

He began heading away from the stall. "I'll see you two later, I'm gonna look for my bloke."

Then he faded into the crowd once again.

Twirling around in a pink mini-skirt, Medea went into the Three Broomsticks with a wide grin on her face. This was her chance to score free drinks!

She walked to the bar and rested her arms on the counter waiting for someone to approach her.

Winking at Jerome and giggling when he blushed and walked away quickly, Matilda turned her attention on the woman who had come up to her booth.

"Oooh... look at you," she said delightfully, swirling her hair around her finger, "I think I had a poster of a vampire on my wall when I was a teenager, she looked just like you!" Giggling, she leaned forwards. "Are you a vampire?"

"At the same time? Surely not..."

Chuckling, he found a food kiosk and nudged himself towards the front, ignoring the protests.

Alayna laughed as she followed him, "Don't blame me. You can blame Harper for the chocolate and Kinsley for the chips. They have totally different cravings. Its crazy." She said with another laugh.

She was surprised to see Wade come to her and Louis. Her cheeks blushed in embarrassment as she let go of Louis' hand to reassure Wade.

'No! We're not!"

Grinning, she leaned forward and bared her fangs for the younger woman to see. She ran her tongue over them before replying in a whisper, "I am certainly a vampire... Do you have fantasies about vampires?"

If she was able to drink even the tiniest drop of blood straight from the veins without alarm, she was going to be one happy camper...

Skylar was on duty for the festival in case anyone got hurt or heaven forbid get slipped a love potion. It had happened a few years back and the results were quite obnoxious. She stood near the liquor kiosk, also as a deterrent for the underaged students.

Persephone was ducking and dodging her way through the crowds to get away from some boys that had been bullying her. She turned a corner and slammed right into someone. But the smell was very familiar, "Tolly. These boys are being mean and pulling my hair and saying bad things about our family."

Reed was put on patrol as well to make sure the students weren't getting too out of hand; why did they always assign him to these positions? He could hardly manage a classroom some days! Noticing that Skylar was stationed near one of the alcohol kiosks, he approached her.

'Hey, Skylar," he greeted, scratching the back of his neck. "Crazy weekend, isn't it?"

Mason was sitting at the bar when he noticed his sister had entered the establishment. He chuckled and had the barkeep send a drink down to her before he made his way over, "Now, little sister, must you always wear such revealing outfits? You and Matilda are both going to put me in an early grave."

Skylar looked over when she heard her name and smiled when she saw it was Reed, "Oh. Hello Reed. Yes it is. Hopefully no one gets hurt." She kind of craved a non eventful evening, "They put you on chaperone duties, too?"

Seeing Mason, Medea giggled. He was always so protective. Sometimes, it was annoying. Other times, it was endearing.

"If you looked like me, you'd dress like this too!"

"I don't think so." He said with a light chuckle before ordering himself another fire whiskey, "I saw Matilda's little booth. I'm surprised you didn't do something of the sorts. Or are you just looking for boys to call you pretty and buy you drinks all night in hopes of getting into bed with you?"

Haven walked around the event, a bit bummed that she was single on Valentine's day, yet again. But she was going to make the best of it. She was home with her family and that's all that really mattered to her.

"Oh, I plan on joining Mats' booth eventually, I want to give her time to draw a good crowd on her own first," Medea clarified with a giggle as she adjusted the corset she was wearing. "It gets so boring making drinks sometimes! You would know if you got off your bum and worked somewhere!"

That was why she and Mats deserved to be the Riddle heirs.

Mason wrinkled his nose when she suggested actual work, "No thanks. I'd rather not." He slipped his drink and smirked, "Just don't get knocked up by some poor schmuck with a few sickles."
