"Alcohol is forbidden on Hogwarts premises!"

Evening time was rolling into the night, and Ptolemy was entertaining a few third-year girls by morphing into Narkissos Jetson. Only - it wasn't exactly looking like him. He'd made some adjustments to the width of his nose, the spacing of the eyes, and the length of his hair; but it was still quite clearly an imitation of him.

The girls giggled.

"Stop laughing! Ten points from Slytherin! You're not allowed to have fun under my watch!"

It was passing the time and he was getting attention. Couldn't get better than that.

It was getting late, and Narkissos had to ensure he had some time to take care of an assignment or two before nightly patrol. He had naturally spent the past hour or so relaxing in the prefect's bathroom over gossip. It was the best way to unwind after a stressful school day.

Stepping into the common room, he crossed his arms. Rowle! Out of all people to parody, he just had to pick the most responsible guy in all of Slytherin. How dare he?! Narkissos quickly sent a message to Faye about making it back to his common room before intruding on the piss-poor theatrics.

"Cut the crap, Rowle. I dislike having to ruin our chances for the House Cup, but that is 5 points for mocking of an authority figure."

He then glanced at the young girls. "You all get a warning for needing a better sense of humor."

The girls all looked very affronted by being told off, and stood up to go elsewhere.

"That's the lousiest excuse for a five point docking I've ever heard you come out with," he commented, as his face slowly pulled and narrowed back into its normal shape. "Whatever are you going to come out with next? Five points for talking foully about someone else's Mother? All the hourglasses will be empty to the floor, and little Alexander's improvement on his speech impediment will all be for nothing. You are so very evil."

He spread his arm across the back of the couch, smirking at him.

"Perhaps you should dock points for yourself, for not having a backbone."

He pushed his hair out of his face.

"Oh - and - Your Mother."

"Rowle, I don't believe you realize how much flack us prefects receive for simply doing our jobs. I'm unable to help the fact that you lack respect for what we do to keep the institution functioning."

Narkissos eyed the girls as they left the common room. How did this house put up with Rowle and his sensibilities? And to bring people not involved into it? What was he trying to achieve from this?

"You know you're in the wrong thus you're bringing my lovely mum into the situation. This isn't about her. This is about not wanting to be shat on because I actually care about the sanctity of the student body! And I won't be docking points from myself as I didn't do anything wrong!"

The criticism he and Faye received for alleged abuse of power didn't come from thin air.

He clutched his chest, tighter and tighter, as the emotional display came bursting from him. Then he released it.

"I'm crying on the inside, Narkissos. I really am weeping for you."

He uttered a long, haughty laugh.

"I do just as much for the student body at this school," he said airily, sighing dramatically. "By proving them with ample entertainment on a daily basis. That's just the sort of person I am."

He gave him a sweetly innocent smile.

"Anyway, it isn't Prefects that I dislike in particular. I just particularly dislike you."

Narkissos walked over to stand in front of his housemate; he never could understand that git. To him, Rowle always came off as someone who got high off his own farts and would price them at a few thousand galleons.

"Yet in the same breathe once they're not listening, you often find something to criticize them for, oftentimes something that is out of their control."

Maybe his father had a point about why dementors should've never been removed from Azkaban. "I'm sure it'd be easier for you to list who you like. For example, I'm certain you loathe Faye for being a muggleborn."

And he seemed very pleased with himself for it. He looked up at him as he stood in front of where he was sat, grinning up to the ears.

"It just assures that those I do like feel that little bit more special."

He wondered when his little Prefect girlfriend would enter the equation.

"And you - you're in love with her, aren't you? Another wasted legacy."

"I am NOT in love with Faye!"

He was desperate to win whatever this argument was. Narkissos did have a tendency to go for muggleborns, but that was irrelevant! Not really, but he wanted to be sure that he was in the right. Narkissos decided to keep standing as it'd allow him to look mightier.

Ptolemy laughed loudly.

"You are in love with her. You're just too scared to admit it."

@Narkissos Jetson

"..."

Quick! This was a crisis! What could he hit back at him with?!

"Did you ever morph yourself into her to see what it's like to be her?"

@Ptolemy Rowle

"Please. I want to keep my lunch down."

That was a very weak thing for Narkissos to come back with. There was no doubt in his mind that he really was interested in her. Narkissos was very strange. He'd heard things about him being with other muggleborn girls as well - like Cherry Darling. Urgh.

"Your tastes have always been questionable. I wonder if you believe you're just not good enough, underneath all the stringent enforcement of rules. You really are self-conscious without the power."

He sneered at him.

"Except that I do believe that I am good enough. I aspire to become Minister however many years from now by working from the bottom. Being prefect and, hopefully, Head Boy are just the lowest steps of the ladder," Narkissos retorted feeling frustrated at the accusation of insecurity.

"If I didn't crave power, I wouldn't be in Slytherin!"

No shit, Sherlock.
