It's dangerous in there (Narks)

Madison had grown a bit curious about the darker areas of Hogwarts. She had heard the stories of the shrieking shack and found them to be boring. But the forest.... That had her interest. Which is why she stood at the outskirts of the wooded area, staring into the darkness within the trunks and branches, wondering what was in there. She wanted to go in and see what she could find, but part of her was a bit frightened by the concept of actually going in alone. She pursed her lips and stared harder into the darkness, as if trying to motivate herself.

Although he'd much rather spend the night in the prefect's bathroom with Faye, Narkissos got placed out outdoor patrolling duties. Narkissos bundled himself up to cope with the frisk coldness, he didn't deal with winter temperatures too well, and headed off towards the forest with a lantern in hand trying to make sure nobody got too deep; the last thing he wanted to deal with was one of the centaurs.

Luckily, he didn't have to go very far as there was only a girl staring into the woods. He, too, began to stare.

Madison was about to go into the forest when she heard the snap of a twig and spun around to see what it was. She smiled a bit when she saw it was one of the boys that had fought to try and impress her, "Oh hello there." She said with a smirk, "I didn't think anyone would be out here at this hour." She noticed he was staring and giggled a bit, "It's Narkissos, right?"

Her speech sounded like a pleasant bird song; none of the words were registering to him nor the fact that her mouth was moving. Time felt as if it had stopped. In fact, he didn't know whether it was day or night.

All he could continue to do was stare, scarcely blinking for lubrication.

Madison frowned a bit and sighed, "You don't get much veela action over here, do you?" She walked over to him and placed a hand on his arm, "I was going to explore the area? You seem strong and capable. Why don't you come with? For protection?" She giggled a bit and stroked her hand up and down his arm, "It'll be fun."

There was a ringing in his ears as his surroundings became blurrier and blurrier. Next thing he knew, he was darting into the forest with the lantern swaying dangerously in his wake.

He was going to race to the end of the forest and back for her.

Then, once he was far enough from the effects of her, he stopped in his tracks.

"Real funny, veela."

She was a blurry silhouette from where he stood.

Madison tried her best to keep up with him as he farted into the woods, but he was rather fast. She eventually caught up to him and shook her head, "how am I the funny one when you're the one that took off without me?" She frowned and looked over at him, "You just left me behind. I could have been maimed or eaten."

Then she got close to him again, and the world stopped rotating. He needed to go deeper, deeper, and deeper into the forests. Narkissos had to prove to her that he was the only one for her. But he couldn't move. He felt as if he was stuck in place like a statue.

Madison stood beside him, pouting at being left behind still, "Don't do that again. It was scary." She said in a tiny voice that was barely audible. She didn't like the idea of being left alone in the woods, "Maybe we should go back. Come again when it's daylight out." The darkness was starting to creep her out and she jumped any time she heard a twig snap, "Narkissos...."

"I must..."

Her words were almost incomprehensible, yet he felt as if he knew exactly what she was saying.

"I must go in there and wipe out the centaurs for you..."

Madison rolled her eyes and grabbed his hand before he could run off again, "No no no. You don't have to do that. You'd get killed trying. Just stay with me and help me find my way back." She looked up at him, biting her lower lip, "Please?"

"No! I must extinguish the centaurs so you could have the forest all to yourself!"

Narkissos pulled out his wand and dropped his lantern in the process. His legs were ready to wobble and run, but he just couldn't move them. He had to protect her, but he also couldn't leave her all by herself.

A light snow began to blanket down on them.
