Sunset stroll (Blake)

Lakelyn was still a little worried about Blake. He had managed to miss their birthday party and she still hadn’t been able to get any information out of him as to why he hadn’t attended. She had looked forward to spending the evening with him but that hadn’t been the case. Sure, she had fun with her siblings and all of her friends but she had missed spending her birthday with her boyfriend. But she was too kind hearted to hold it against him. He had to have something very important to take care of, just like he had told her, or he would have been there. She fully believed that. So, she didn’t think twice about accepting his invitation to meet him at the beach. Which was where she found herself now, standing there in a pair of shorts and her bikini too and nothing more, gazing out over the choppy waves. The ocean was too turbulent for surfing that evening but luckily, that wasn’t what she had come here for. She was just waiting and hoping Blake would show up this time.

Blake stood by the water, staring out at the waves. It made him crave his board. But he wasn't here to surf. He was here for love. When he saw Lakelyn, he smiled and walked over to her, "You look beautiful. As always." He took her hand in his, "Take a walk with me?"

Lakelyn was distracted from the sight of the choppy waves when Blake approached her. She turned her head towards him and a smile came to her lips. She closed her fingers around his as he took her hand. She blushed a bit at his compliment, still not fully used to being complimented on her beauty. She was used to being complimented for being nice or even for her quidditch skills but never her appearance. Yet, Blake always had a way of making her feel beautiful. ”Of course.” she said as she began to walk hand in hand with him down the beach, letting him take the lead but falling into step with him easily enough.

Something seemed a little off with Blake. Instead of them chatting away like they normally would as they walked hand in hand along the beach, he was quiet and he held her hand more tightly than usual. Was something wrong?

All worries faded away when he led her into the hidden cove and she saw that he had set up a lovely little picnic area. A smile came to her lips as she threw her arms around him. ”Blake, this is amazing! she could just kiss him! This was so thoughtful of him!
