After a long, grueling day of attempting to study to get Lien off his back, Macmillan had finally hit the gym after preparing himself a nice, nourishing green shake down in the kitchens. The formal was getting closer and closer and although he did score a date, he wasn't thinking too much on it. He didn't even know if he had a good tux or suit on hand somewhere for the night; it just wasn't on his list of priorities versus getting himself prepared to kick-start his surfing career the moment he leaves Hogwarts following exams.

He went to the weight lifting section of the gym and set down a towel, his green shake, and a water bottle; Macmillan had already sent a message to Atticus and Wade asking if they were going to join. He hadn't heard back from them yet, but he was sure one or both of them would likely show up at some point. In the meantime, Macmillan picked up some dumbbells and began to deadlift them as music from one of Professor Jackson's records rang loud through the gym.

Meredith decided to try working out to help with her goal of losing weight. Sure, Atticus and many others said she didnt need it, but she felt like she did. She had on a pair of shorts anand a tank top as she entered the gym. She saw Macmillan, all sweaty and muscular. She placed her water bottle on the bench before beginning to stretch.

In the corner of his eye, he saw a blonde figure he hoped was Lakelyn, but she seemed to be paler. Hm. Macmillan quickly realized he grabbed too-light dumbbells and made his way back to the rack to grab a bigger set. He did his best to ignore the abrasive music that played throughout the gym, finding it to be slightly less noisy than the impromptu performance Professor Jackson had given over the intercom system.

He'd rather exercise in silence at this point; he had to continue the grind.

He began to hear his pulse run through his body as he grunted and lifted up his weights. Did someone say something? Macmillan finally turned around and saw that it was Meredith.

"Huh? What were ya saying?"
