try to torch me (alayna)

Perdita groaned.

She realised that there was a very slim chance Carina would ever visit her, or Ptolemy, in this dormitory, but he would continue to try it with her. It was all in the plan of getting back at Alayna, after all. Pandora had really enlightened him with that idea, and he was very much enjoying himself.

And herself.

After receiving the last message from Alayna, however, Perdita turned back into Ptolemy. He put on his clothes, and sat at the side of his bed, waiting for her to burst through those doors and say whatever she wanted to say. Whether he'd actually listen to her or not was another thing entirely.

Alayna made her way down to the dungeons and burst into the common room. It got quiet as she stormed up the stairs to Ptolemys room and slammed the door open, "What is this shit? I'm tired of this Ptolemy. I fucked up but I never meant to hurt you. I wasn't thinking straight and we were fighting and-" and then she saw the mark on his neck. One she hadn't left there, "What the fuck is that? What vampiric white left a hickey on your neck!?"

He narrowed his eyes when she raged through the door of his dormitory. Although he expected that sort of dramatic entrance from her, it still bothered him. Everything she was saying was such a load of rubbish, but what else did he expect? She always had the nerve to talk rubbish just to get herself out of things.

"That's none of your concern anymore," he said to her coldly, smirking.

Alayna looked at him, the hurt shining in her eyes, "I never did any of this to hurt you. But you go out of your way to hurt me. Just like you go out of your way to hurt others. If this is none of my concern, then my children will be none of yours." She was trying her hardest to fight back the tears, "Ptolemy, I love you.... I don't want to fight over this. You obviously got back at me based on your neck. Can't we just move on?"

He glared at her angrily.

"You bloody well knew what you were doing. You opened your legs to him, even after he threw you away. Him - him. A dirty scrounger, a classless turd who tried to break you down at every opportunity he had. And I defended you. I doted on you. I treated you like a Queen. And now you expect me to move on from it?!"

As he lashed at her, he walked closer to her, jabbing his finger at every point that was made.

"Just because you are pregnant with my children, it does not mean you get to do everything you like on a whim! You don't get to control me through them. I'm sick of it!"

He pointed at the door.

"If we are done, then get out."

Alayna looked at him and took a step back with every step he took forward until she had her back to the wall. She looked at him with genuine fear. She had never been afraid of him before now, "Ptolemy you're scaring me." When he told her to get out, she clenched her jaw and looked at him, "No. We're not done. I'm not giving up on us because I made a stupid mistake. But if you're ready to.... Then say the word. Tell me you hate me. Tell me you never want to see me again. And I'll be gone "

"Tuh. That's so typical of you," he grunted, turning away from her dismissively. "You know I find it extraordinary sometimes, your ability to turn something that was your bloody fault aound onto someone else. I applaud you for it, really. The master manipulator."

He turned around and leaned into her face, grinning.

"Well it's not going to work on me."

He leant back again.

"You put an end to our relationship as soon as you slept with that swine. Unfortunately I will have to see you again, as you are carrying my children, but I don't have to be with you to see them. It may not be preferable or tolerated under the eyes of my family, but again - you made that decision."

He folded his arms against his chest stubbornly.

"All you had to do was be nice to people. And it was so difficult for you, for some reason. I just wanted you to behave. And you refused." She said, her anger building up inside of her, "I didn't put an end to shit, Ptolemy Rowle. You did. You're ending things. I'm willing to admit I did wrong and work past it. But no. You'd rather go stick your dick in everyone to make me mad. Well guess what, I'm not mad. I'm disappointed our daughters have you as a fucking role model of who to look for in life!" She hadn't meant to reveal the genders, as he wanted to be surprised. But she was angry.

"Extraordinary. That's twice you've done it now," he uttered exasperatedly, after hearing her accusations. "Let's hear some more about how I am to blame for your own indiscretion, Alayna!"

He laughed, then his expression dropped. Daughters. How dare she go against his wishes? 

"Get out. I don't want to look at you."

He turned away from her to hide his face. He didn't want her - or anyone - seeing that he was upset.

"And I'm sure you've been trying to fuck every single girl in this school in the past 24 hours." She hadn't meant to let the genders slip, but it had happened. When he told her to get out again, she clenched her jaw and crossed her arms, "No." The defiance made her feel a bit like her old self. She could tell her was upset. She walked over to him and just wrapped her arms around his waist, "I'm sorry, Tolly. I'm gonna make everything easier..... I love you." She then took a step back and looked down at her shoes, "Bye Ptolemy."

He frowned when she refused to leave.

Just take a hint. He thought bitterly, then jolted slightly as she wrapped her arms around him from behind.

He sighed, but didn't say anything. He had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, but he wasn't in the mood to speak any further with her. If he just remained silent, hopefully she would leave. She hated being ignored, after all.

Alayna felt the tears that she had fought back start to fall, "I guess I'll see you in a few months or so. And I'll keep you updated on Harper and Kinsley if you want." Those were the names she had picked out for their twins. But if he wanted nothing to do with her, then he didn't get to have a say in things like that. She hated this. She hated everything about this. Which is why it was probably time for a somewhat fresh start, "I'm sorry, Tolly. Go fuck whatever girls you want. I don't care anymore. Plus I'll be too far away to be upset by it." She then turned on her heel and walked out of the room.
