at the shoot (chase)

On the weekend of Chase's shoot, he met up with her at school in the morning and they travelled to the photoshoot location in New York, travelling from Massachusetts into the city the no-maj way. Most Ilvermorny students had a good grasp on how to do things the no-maj way, but Zuriel was especially confident in being around them having spent the first eleven years of his life believing he was one.

When they entered the building and preparations got going, Zuriel was mostly pushed to the side and urged to keep away. He was standing in the studio at the refreshments, helping himself to a coffee alongside some of the other boyfriends and husbands of the girls. He'd seen some of them already before they were dressed in the lingerie: they were all very beautiful, extremely attractive women with perfectly slim bodies. The anticipation of seeing Chase, and all the other girls, was beginning to get to him.

He just hoped that he didn't completely lose his cool.

Chase was a bit nervous to be back with her old company, but she was also very excited. When they arrived at the shoot, she was quickly Rushed off to hair and makeup. She gave zuriel a smile before being carried away. After about 2 hours of getting primped and pampered, she made her way back to where she had left Zuriel. She has on a small silk robe to cover the fire engine red lingerie set she had on underneath, "You doing ok out here? The boys are being nice right?" She asked with a smile as she rested her hand on his arm

"Oh shit..." he muttered, as she turned the corner. One of the other guys laughed.

"Hey. She looks great, man," he said, clapping his shoulder.

Zuriel tried hard not to grin too much. Yes - that's right. She had brought him to the shoot, meaning he was her guy. The other guys seemed to think they were dating, and he hadn't bothered to correct them. For the duration, he was going to relish in the idea of her being his.

When she got within earshot and stood nearer, his eyes dipped to get a full view and shot back up again. He ran his tongue quickly across his lip. "You look incredible," he told her, and laughed at how fucking lucky he was. "Yeah, they're being nice. So... what's the itinerary for the day? What kind of shoot are you doing?"

Chase looked up at him and smiled when he looked away from her. She knew what it was about so she wasn't insulted, "Thank you. I think it's a bit tight. But, Maryanne said that was a good thing." When he asked what kind of shoot she was doing, she smirked, "It's a lingerie shoot." She opened the robe a bit to show off the red lace of the size too small bra before closing the robe again, "We're gonna start in about 10 or so minutes. Just a bunch of photos in different sets. But it'll be fun. Im working with Nadia behind the camera. She's my favorite."

The other guys seemed so cool and collected around all the beautiful women, Zuriel was looking to them for pointers on how to act. They just were completely normal, as though this was a canteen at an office and they were chewing the fat. They weren't drooling. Their noses weren't bleeding. They were laughing.

He swallowed hastily. When he looked back at her, he was struck back down again. It was that charm - so intense. He wanted to kiss her right there.

"After this, do you want to watch a movie together or something?" he asked, not able to stop himself. "I can take you to a really nice restaurant. Do you like Thai food?" It was just pouring out of his mouth.

Chase smiled at him and nodded, "Yeah. I'd like that. A movie sounds fun." She chuckled a bit as the words just came out. He was kind of adorable when he was flustered. He reminded her of Lien a bit, "I do enjoy Thai food. I haven't had any since I did a shoot in Thailand a few years ago. But phad Thai sounds amazing right now." She said as she rested a hand on his arm again, "you sure you're ok over here? I know it's a bit boring just watching me work."

"You did a shoot in Thailand too?"

The modelling world was too hectic. He wondered whether she went away and travelled a lot, and he didn't enjoy the idea of that if they were to end up together. Perhaps he was getting a little ahead of himself here... but she seemed interested in him. He wasn't just imagining that, right?

"It's not boring," he said, with a smile, "I've never been to one of these things before, but everyone is really nice. The photographers are a bit pushy, but you just have to tell me if they're being too pushy, okay?"

He didn't normally need every possible opportunity to impress a girl, but with Chase it was different. It was almost as if he existed to please her. That was how it felt around Veela.
