Feeling he'd been seriously slacking over the holidays, Ruggiero made sure that his first week was booked solid with training at the fitness suite. He had already been there for an hour and had worked up quite a sweat, so after bench presses he took a break and went to the dispenser for some water. You only ever did protein shakes before a work out, never during.

It would get to a point where he needed to concentrate more on studying that exercise, but he was one of those students that left everything until the last minute anyway. His grades weren't bad, but they weren't exactly fantastic either. So long as he was still getting good with flying, there was a real chance he could take to the Professional leagues.

Mackenzie didn't like not knowing her away around. She was used to Hogwarts and it's twists and turns. Not all this. She was trying to find her dorms and ended up turned every which way except the correct one. She walked down a hallway with no clue where she was going until she heard someone in a near by room. She stepped inside to see it was a workout facility of sorts being used by some American boy. She debated asking him for directions but didn't want to disturb his work out.

Wiping the sweat off his face with a towel, he glanced up as the door swung open, hoping it was one of his team mates. They always did better when they motivated each other, as well as a few wise cracks here and there. It was a girl though, one he didn't recognise. She wasn't dressed for the gym and looked a little bit confused: that probably meant she was one of the exchanges.

"Gonna try do some Pilates in that get up, or are ya lost?"

Mackenzie frowned a bit as she didn't like admitting she needed help, "How do you not get lost in this place? It makes no sense." She crossed her arms over her chest and buffed, "But yes. I'm lost. I'm trying to find Wampus?" She was pretty sure that was the name of the dorms she was staying in, "I'm Mackenzie Riddle. I'm part of the exchange program."

Ruggiero let out a low, grating laugh.

"It ain't that big," he commented, although in first year he seemed to recall getting lost as well. "Well. Maybe it is."

He gave her a strange look.

"Ya lookin' for a wampus? The cats?" What. "I'm Ruggiero."

Mackenzie rolled her eyes and looked at him, "It's quite intimidating to newcomers." She didn't know if she was supposed to answer yes to that or not, "I'm not sure. I was told I'd be staying in Wampus. I don't really know what this is. Much less where it is." When he introduced himself , she gave a small smile but not much else.

"Yeah, whoever said that was tryna be a dick. What ya want is the night building, go through the Wampus lounge then to the staircases. Then ya gotta find the number of whatever year ya in, go up there to the right, girls dorms right ahead. Ya name should be on the door of whatever dorm ya stayin' in."

He nodded at her.

"I'm Wampus too, so if ya hang around I'll show ya where to go."

He wasn't going to let up on a work out mid-way for some chick. Even if she was pretty. And British.

"So why the States?" he asked, drinking from the water bottle.

Mackenzies face darkened a bit when she realized she has been tricked by some of the stupid Americans, "It appears I have been played them. What a nice welcome." As he gave the directions on where to go she just stared at him like a lost puppy, "I won't be able to remember all of that." She said quite honestly. When he said he would take her if she wanted, she nodded, "right then." She set her bag down and put her hair up ina. Quick messy bun, "Wanted to get away from my sister's and the drama surrounding my friends. Even if just for a bit."

As Ruggiero was finishing up with his work out that night, he'd walked Mackenzie to the night building and seen her off. That night he was lying in bed over the covers, staring at the ceiling and thinking about her, but he had a feeling he'd probably never see her again. It became clear over the next few days that Tiffany Cartwright had adopted her into her stupid circle, so he guessed she was one of those chicks...

After the events in the rec room, Ruggiero was back the following day to the fitness suite again. Phew. It was one hell of a ride: both Emery and Mackenzie were pretty crazy, but it was only because they both had complete douchebags as boyfriends. He was being pulled left and right into their spats and it wasn't something he was used to, but he couldn't say he really hated it.

Currently he was on one of the treadmills warming up, but his mind was locked on images of last night: Emery kissing him, Mackenzie wearing that borderline fetish outfit...

Mackenzie had had alot on her mind the last few days. First all the drama with Albus had her stressed beyond compare. She did care for him, but lately she felt he didn't feel the same. And then there was Ruggerio. He was so sweet and kind to her. She wondered if he would be back in the work out room? So she got out of bed and put on another of her sisters outfits, he seemed to like the one she had on before, and made her way down there after getting lost a few times. When she arrived, she was pleased to see him there. She stepped inside and leaned against one of the machines, "You know, there are other ways to get a sweaty work out in that might be more fun for you."

He was running fast at the steepest incline so he could actually feel some work to his leg muscles. After loosening them up a bit, he was going for a leg day. When the door opened and Mackenzie draped herself across one of those machines, Rudi immediately slowed the machine down to a gradual stop, pushing his sweat-clung hair back. He was panting as he looked her over. That get up again, huh...

"Yo..." he panted, climbing off the machine and wiping his face over with a towel. "Oh yeah? That so?"

Putting his hands on his sides, he stood nearby to her, still breathing hard.

"Dressin' like that and gettin' with me might piss that kid off, but maybe y'should think about what ya really want."

Mackenzie watched as he wiped the sweat drenched Fringe from his face and smiled, "There are quite a few ways I can think of." She raised an eyebrow at him and smiled, "Am I supposed to care what he thinks? He left me. He decided to ask out Cartwright and told me he wished I'd stayed in England. Fuck him." She could feel her anger rising as she thought of Albus, "Can we actually not talk about him?" She leaned forward over the machine, pushing her breasts up more, "Having a good work out?"

"Uh hng."

He eyed her up and down sceptically. Somehow, he didn't believe she didn't care about him. He knew what she was trying to do.

"Probably a good attitude to have but, ya really don' hafta do all the..."

He twirled his hand around to indicate her general chest area.

"That."

He smirked.

"Trust me a guy's already looked at ya titties without even makin' direct eye contact with them. We got peripherals, y'know."

Sniffing, he contorted his face as he wiped over his chin. "S'all good. Do ya work out at all?"

Mackenzie tilted her head to the side a bit confused as to what he was referring to until he mentioned her boobs. She chuckled and moved some hair from her face, "Oh I know. I grew up with my sister Matilda. I knew more about boys than I did magic by first year." She stepped away from the machine and closer to him, "You know, you can do more than just look." She shrugged when asked if she worked out, "Sometimes. I was a quidditch player back at Hogwarts."

Ruggiero looked at her as she approached, and stayed mounted on the spot, draping his arms over the machine.

"Ya only comin' onto me 'cause ya pissed at him."

He gave her a pressing look.

"He humiliated ya and was a dick, but fuckin' me won't achieve nothin'."

Mackenzie took a deep breath and looked at him, "Maybe I'm coming into you because I think you're hot and would be a brilliant lay in bed?" She leaned down to flick a piece of lint from her shoe, "Maybe it won't. Maybe it will. Maybe I just want to finally receive some satisfaction that didn't come from hexing someone. Who knows?"

"You even been with a fella in that way before?"

Mackenzie blushed a bit at his question. She hadn't been with anyone like that before, but he didn't need to know that, "Sure I have." She hoped she put on enough fake confidence in her answer to not be questioned.

He smiled at her.

"Ya cute, Kenz."

But he wasn't convinced that she had any idea what she was doing. That worried him a bit. He didn't want her throwing herself at him just because she needed to feel validated.

"And ya beautiful. And I'd have sex with ya. But," he said, looking at her, "Ya gotta just be more like... yaself. Y'know? I don't want ya comin' over to the States just to get hurt."

Mackenzie smiled when he called her cute, "I know I am." She smirked and leaned back against one of the treadmills, almost slipping a bit when he said he would be willing to sleep with her, purely from slight shock. She cocked her head to the side at his next statement, "How do you know this isn't me? I already came to the states and got hurt by idiot Potter. So I'm deciding to do just do me. Maybe that's recreating myself. Maybe it's doing what I'm doing. I don't know what it is anymore. I'm just going day by day."
