She hadn't been in America for very long, but she could quickly tell that it was extremely different from back home. Marilyn still hadn't adjusted to being five hours behind what she's used to! Her mum's friend had made her a list of all of the popular hangs for girls her age and how to get to them. Naturally, Marilyn went to find out what this galleria was. Her mind was blown! It was like a huge department store, but it wasn't just one store! There was still walking to be done, but it didn't feel as daunting as it did going to Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley, especially since the ground, well floor, in this galleria was completely flat. The best part about it was that there was no pyro bitch to be found! She didn't have to worry about waking up with everything burnt down as long as she was on this side of the pond!

As Marilyn didn't know the big names just yet, she had to wait to use the notepad she bought earlier just for dirt. With nobody there, except for a few people from Hogwarts, that'd recognize her, this was her chance to become more stylish and show the people of Hogwarts their loss! She entered one of the stores named WizDEB that was selling a lot of dress robes. How cute! Going to one of the racks, she began window shopping a pink one that caught her eye. The ruffles wasn't really her thing, but it was a bit tempting...

Marianna was taking Eliana shopping before she went back to school to make sure she was stocked up. She did everything in her power to spoil her daughter, with what money she had.

She was pushing the stroller, and avoiding the eyes of a lot of people. Stopping in one of the shops to get a pair of dress robes, she stopped at the sight of a suspicious girl and Marianna raised an eyebrow, “Are you looking for someone?” she asked trying to sound helpful. She certainly never saw her before than again Ilvermorny was a huge school, and she didn’t know everyone.

As she checked to see what sizes the clothes were in, Marilyn looked to see that another girl, with a kid to boot, was already interrogating her! She only arrived to America recently, and she was already being given a reminder of her sister's pregnancy! Ugh!

"Does it look like I'm looking for someone? No!" Was she stupid? She had to be stupid! Why were American sizes just a number? What did size 3 even mean?!

Marianna groaned at the girl’s outburst of anger right now. It wasn’t nessacary, and she looked around horrifed. “My daughter is trying to sleep, so chill out?” she said giving a look of horror. She didn’t like girls who just went batshit crazy, “Who are you anyway?” she said with a raised eyebrow. Praying to god she chilled since the last thing Marianna needed was Eliana walking up from her nap.

"I am chill!" In fact, she wasn't even yelling the way she did whenever the pyro slut and the rest of her annoying dorm was making her fear for her life. What a warm welcome to be receiving for getting away from Hogwarts for a while?

Marilyn rolled her eyes before responding, "I'm Marilyn, I'm here for the exchange program." She needed no more introduction than that with that attitude of hers!

Once the mystery girl chilled out Marianna nodded in acknowledgement. “It’s in the past how about that.” she said giving her a smile not being opposed to a friend. She just didn’t want this girl getting into shit she didn’t need to get into.

“You choose an interesting place to an exchange program.” she said with a bit of a chuckle. “I am Marianna, and this is my daughter Eliana. She’s the light of my life, and what made you come here?” she said hoping to make conversation. She wasn’t a mean person in the slightest.

She nodded feeling rather satisfied that this girl didn't drag that out like most of her classmates at Hogwarts would. It was already refreshing despite the attitude displayed earlier! Wasn't America much bigger than Britain? How would she be able to tell that she was new?!

"Nice to meet you and your daughter." Marilyn hoped that seemed polite enough seeing as she typically didn't meet that many new people back home. Everyone knew each other in Britain. She began examining another dress robe, this time an aqua one. "I came here to get away from my dormmates and to not have to always hear people talking to my sister! I love her, but she has all the attention because a Potter knocked her up!"

Marianna didn’t want to make this new girl seem uncomfortable. She knew that Ilvermorny could seem pretty scary, and she smiled. “She is sleeping, but if she was up she’d be laughing and giggling.” she said giving a smile. Eliana slept like a pretty baby and Marianna enjoyed it.

Than she went into why she was here and Marianna let out a sigh. Her pregnancy was one that caused an uproar due to who the baby daddy was, and she sighed. “Are they more accepting of it? My pregnancy got a whole bunch of hate, but do you mean like the famous Harry Potter? Not the Potters here right?” she said not sure who she was talking about. She heard the stories of Harry Potter and his greatness.

She forced a small smile at her before focusing once again on all of the clothes in this store. "More accepting? Potter dealt with it worse than my sister did. He dropped out!" Marilyn did like the idea of being able to say the gossip not many people here knew of; it meant she had more of an actual audience! "There's Potters here?" She never heard James, Albus, Lily, or their parents mention something about that! "Of bloody course I'm referring to the Harry Potter! His oldest son, James, knocked up my sister while being gay the entire time!"

Marianna didn’t expect that since it seemed like the girls got it worse. “That’s not expected at all, and let me guess he’s like a deadbeat dad?” she asked with a bit of a raised eyebrow. She knew what it was like to deal with a deadbeat dad, and how it was like pulling teeth.

A nod came, “Yeah we got a lot of Potters, they are descended from Abraham Potter who was one of the first aurors.” she said with a bit of a groan. She heard Tiffany talk about it way too much. “Although the family you got to watch out for is the Cartwrights who are like one of America’s richest families, and be weary of Tiffany Cartwright.” she sighed. Marianna hated the Cartwrights more than anything since they were entitled.

Her jaw dropped, “That’s so horrible, he should have been honest with his sexuality since you don’t lead girls on.” sighed Marianna who felt like she was dealing with her baby daddy right now.

"Everyone thought he would be," she began trying to think of what her sister had mentioned. "He's been helping her buy all sorts of baby stuff, and she's the only other person he spends time with outside of that psycho boyfriend of his!" There was so much dirt from Hogwarts she could talk about that she didn't know where to start!

Abraham Potter? That name didn't ring a bell. Most people only knew up to Fleamont because he invented Sleakeazy.

Taking one of the hangers off the rack, Marilyn pressed it against her body to see if the dress robes would look fine on her; she may have to actually try a bunch of clothes on while she was at the galleria. "We have Cartwrights at Hogwarts, and nobody likes them. Two of them are whiny and annoying, one of them's weird!" Now she had to deal with more Cartwrights than Emerald?! Ugh!

"He was outed during the dance, so he stopped being a lying arsehole after all!"

Marianna had supposed that was good after all Marilyn's sister's baby daddy got better in the end. She couldn't say the same for hers, but she supposed that one day there was hope. "That's good to hear, that he's willing to spoil his baby," she said which was how fathers were supposed to treat their kids.

Spoil and flower them with all the love in the world.

That wasn't surprising to hear, since no one liked the Cartwrights here. Although everyone knew Tiffany Cartwright was the it-girl who had so many cronies following her. "I heard along the rumor wall one of the Cartwright's are coming to Ilvermorny, and I wonder if it's one of the ones you mentioned." she pointed out with a sigh.

A sigh came, "That's not right."

Spoil his baby? Buying stuff was one of the bare minimums! Then again, her sister could've had much worse lucky with baby daddies. "The worse part was that she got pregnant through anal!" Her sister really spread her legs in that manner!

"It is one of them!" Ugh, Emerald. They had to share a dorm together, and she might be stuck in one with her again. At least she won't have to put up with her ever again once her time being an exchange student ended! At least the Cartwrights weren't liked by their fellow Yankees as it meant she and her schoolmates weren't crazy. Marilyn shrugged. "It was shitty, but it was all everyone talked about for weeks!"
