getting your letters mixed up (tagged)

As most of the students were busy packing on the last day of term, the corridors were seemingly quiet. Dorian had received a strange letter about a week ago, but hadn't actually opened it until today. His habit of being distracted and forgetting things meant this was fairly commonplace. After reading through its contents, he'd exited the dormitory and took a walk down the corridors to try and decipher exactly what was going on here.

The top part of the letter was smudged. He could make out the Dear, but the name was indecipherable. Secondly, he didn't think this letter was supposed to be for him anyway. It said something about transferring to Hogwarts, whereas he had been at Hogwarts since first year.

He couldn't help feeling slightly disappointed. It was a very cute, heartfelt letter. Even if it was a prank, it still made him smile a little.

Thalia had been in the common room when she had seen Dorian crossing it, with a letter in his hands. She recognised the slightly tinted paper at once: that was the letter Cherry had sent to him! Squealing a little, she decided to message Cherry on her crystal:

Where are you? I think Dorian is reading your letter!

She decided to follow him, just to see what he was getting up to. It was quite exciting just to sneak around out of sight, she had to say. When he had stopped in the middle of the corridor, Thalia got out her crystal again to message Cherry.

Are you anywhere near the second floor? Come meet me, but make sure you come up by the muggle studies classroom, southward, so he doesn't see us!

Giggling softly behind her hand, she continued watching him.

Cherry had been in the prefect's bathroom treating herself to one last soak before the start of break when she received a message from Thalia.

In the bathroom.

Dorian was reading her letter?! Well, she technically didn't write it as it was all Thalia nor did she really want one to be written in the first place. Either way, this was embarrassing and could easily implode on her as she didn't really think or expect him to reciprocate the tiny crush she was developing.

Thalia wanted her to join her in watching Dorian?! Sighing, Cherry pulled the drain and got out of the tub to dry off and put her clothes back on. At least she didn't get her hair wet, so she wouldn't look too fresh out of water. Her cheeks was already flushed just thinking about the making love in an island hut line. How did Thalia even come up with that?!

A part of her was preferring taking part in her hijinks than hear the moping from either Hazel or Emery; she cared for them a lot, but it was exhausting after dealing with Head Girl duties all term!

I'm on my way.

It took her a while to wait for the staircases to connect to the right path, but Cherry finally made it to the spot Thalia mentioned trying to stay out of sight as much as possible.

"Thalia?" she asked in a whisper, "Are you sure this is a good idea? What if he sees us!"

When Cherry arrived, Thalia quickly grabbed her arm and stood close to her excitedly, looking out at Dorian.

"Aye, this is brilliant!" she whispered back, making a silent imitation of screaming. "I can't make out what his expression is like. He looks a wee bit confused, actually, I think. I don't think I made that confusing at all. It's actually very straight forward, even an idiot could understand..."

Perhaps he was just shocked? Or turned on? Did boys look confused when they were turned on? Who knows!

"Awh. He is a cute, isn't he?"

A bit startled from Thalia's excitement, Cherry grimaced as Thalia described Dorian's current expression.

This wasn't going good... Or maybe he was just thrown off by the letter?

Cherry attempted to loosen Thalia's grip as she shrugged.

"If he's turned on, he'd probably be blushing or be awake or-"

God, why was she talking about this with Thalia?!
