Merry Christmas! (Munroes & Invite)

Lakelyn was so excited for Christmas this year! She had saved up her money for the last few months to save up for Christmas presents for those closest to her. She didn't get much money doing whatever odd jobs she could find over the summer months and such but she had saved knowing that she really didn't need much herself. She thought that she had found the perfect gift for Haven and her other siblings and she really hoped that Blake enjoyed the gift she had gotten him as well. She was a little nervous about his gift since she really wanted him to enjoy what she got. She had ended up making a trip to Blackrock to pick up some things for him. Since they both loved surfing, it had been a no-brainer to get him some different polishes and such for his board as well as a shark tooth necklace she had gotten made from a tooth she had found over the summer. She wasn't sure if he would like it but she hoped he would! Haven was much easier! She had gotten her a nice tea set with some assorted teas that were meant to help with her vocals and such, she just knew Haven would love it! She had just finished wrapping the presents up and was carrying them down the stairs to where the tree was sitting up in the living room.

Haven was still fast asleep when the sound of movement outside her door caused her to bolt awake. She hated being such a light sleeper. She got out of the bed and walked out into the hallway to see Lakelyn, "Hey. Is you're friend here yet?" She asked, referring to Blake. She stepped back as one of their siblings ran past and shook her head, "I forget how crazy it gets here sometimes."

Oh how Copelyn loved this time of year! It was the perfect time to go through all of the sweaters in her closet and cuddle up near a fire with a good book and a mason jar of iced coffee. Speaking of iced coffee, she was in the kitchen finishing up her latest serving of the caffeinated beverage. She made it extra Christmassy by using egg nog!

Stepping into the living room, she waved at her sisters who were on the stairs. "Merry Christmas!" Was it actually Christmas yet? She should know these things!

Instead of being indoors that morning, Dorian was already outside and on his broomstick. He was testing out a magical ointment he'd made while at Hogwarts, and was currently very high above their house, looking down from the aerial view. A flock of ducks flew past: were they mallards or gadwalls? He tried to recall what the difference was, but realised it wasn't exactly important right now. He was doing something else.

What was that again...?

Oh, yeah. Duh. Broomstick testing.

He wanted to see if the ointment had soaked into the wood enough. Theoretically, if he let go of his broom right now and fell through the air, his broomstick would fall down with him and be drawn to his hands, allowing him to climb back on through mid air. That was very theoretically. You couldn't count things like spinning, turning, being shit scared, screaming...

Still, he jumped from his broom. And he did fall. He fell past the window where his sisters were. "Ahhhhh--" He felt something knocking against his knuckles, which he supposed was his broomstick, but it was so difficult to grip, he'd fallen to the ground before he knew it. Thankfully he'd asked an older family member to charm the ground to be like a trampoline, so he merely bounced off it. His broom fell next to him in an unceremonious clatter as he lay, face-planted on the dewy morning grass.

Haven smiled sleepily at Copelyn and noticed the coffecoffee in her hands, "Is there more? I need it. I was up all night trying to finish a chorus for the new song. But the hook is amazing. It's gonna be a hit. I can feel it, Grammy awards here I come." Just as she was about to check the coffee situation she heard a scream and saw her brother falling from a window, "Shit!" She stuck her head out the window and looked down, thankfully he seemed unhurt, "What are you doing!?"

Lakelyn was still standing on the stairs with presents in her hands. There were a lot of them and she could barely see over them but she was feeling her way down the stairs slowly. Then Haven came out and she smiled at her sister over the pile of gifts. She blushed at her sister’s question and shook her head. She was still in her pajamas after all! ”no, I’m not sure what time he’s coming by.” she said with a little smile just thinking of seeing Blake. Then Copelyn came into the picture and she turned to her other sister as well. ”Merry Christmas!” she said with a smile before moving around them down the last few stairs to put the gifts down just as the scream from outside caught her attention. She turned just in time to see Dorian fall passed the window and hurried outside barefoot and in her pajamas to check on him. He was face down in the grass and she hurried over to him. ”Dorian?” she asked, not knowing yet if he was even conscious since he was still laying face down on the ground that now that she thought of it felt a little odd to her…

When he heard a pit-patter of bare feet up the yard path, he turned over onto his back, and was laughing.

"You should see your face right now!"

She looked genuinely concerned! Ha-ha. He grinned up at her.

"I was just testing out my broom stuff, jeez," he said, as though dropping himself from a hundred feet was nothing. Standing up in one solid jump, he shook some grass blades out of his hair. "Maybe it would be better if you tested it, then I can just call up words of encouragement."

He made it obvious that he was just teasing by chuckling a little. "So what's the itinerary for today?" he asked, walking back up the path towards the house, broom in tow.

"There's more, I just made my jar of it!" Copelyn answered softly before taking a sip from the straw. Delicious!

Hearing a THUD, Copelyn followed Haven over to the window, firmly grasping her iced coffeee. "Dori?!" Was he okay? He seemed fine...

"Do you have any bruises?" she cried out from the window.

Oh, Lakelyn could just smack him as he poked fun at her for being so concerned when he had literally just fallen from the sky without warning. She had had enough broken bones from falling from her broom, she knew there was the possibility for injury! But instead she just joined him in laughing and shook her head at his antics. But he obviously wasn't injured when he jumped up easily and she couldn't help but to affectionately shove his shoulder. "You scared me." She told him.

A laugh left her lips then at his statement. "You'd have probably been better off. We both know I'm better on a broom anyway." She teased him. They had always had a fun sort of rivalry where they cheered each other on but were very competitive when they faced off against each other. It was all in good fun though. At his question, she shrugged. "Mum and dad won't be back for a few days so it's just us. I think we're just kind of winging it. Blake is supposed to come over soon but that's the only real plan I know of." She shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't much of a planner unless it came to being on the pitch.
