Since the breakup of sorts with Atticus, James was finding himself in a fertile period for songmaking; he always wrote down lyric ideas or tried to capture melodies that popped into his head whenever he got the chance, but it had been a while since he had the time and motivation to revisit old creations and work on new songs. He was ecstatic about the upcoming music night, and a part of him hoped that it'd be a chance to get Lien more practice with his flute. He'd frequently fantasize about Lien in long, traditional robes in front of a picturesque backdrop filling his ears with a sweet, hypnotic tune. A hypnotic tune that'd lead to...

He was snapped out of that little daydream by a member of the Frog Choir who he had recruited as a backing vocalist for a few of the song ideas he had; James thought her soulful timbre would complement and soften his rawer, edgier vocals. James had spent a recent assignment catch-up session listening to one of the LPs Jerome had given him, and it ended up serving as musical inspiration. He'd have to see if he had any more in his trunk.

James began screeching into the microphone. What a great way to let out some anger.

Alayna was walking down the hall towards the dungeons to spend some time with Ptolemy. She had. A few ideas to make his night. She was getting excited at just the thought of her ideas. She turned the corner and heard something coming from the music room. She walked towards the room and saw James inside. She smirked and stepped inside, "If that's what you sound like in bed then poor Atticus."

James rolled his eyes as the Frog Choir member looked at Alayna uncomfortably. He figured he wouldn't be able to get a break from that cunt no matter how hard he tried to avoid her.

"You don't understand the importance of emotion in music if you're jumping to insulting me right away."

He flipped through his notebook to figure out which songs he wanted to flesh out next. "Fuck are you doing in here anyway?"

@Alayna Nott

"You lack any emotion whatsoever." She said with an extra sassy eye roll, "I don't need a reason to insult you. But if I did, I'd have so many to choose from." When he asked what she was doing, she hopped up onto a desk, perched on the edge, "I was going to see Ptolemy when I heard what I thought was a dying cat. I wanted to come help the poor creature. Turns out it was you trying to hit a high note."

"Atticus told me to stay away from the both of you, yet here you are harassing me. I wish I could say I was fucking surprised, but I'm not."

He avoided looking at Alayna as much as possible while the other female student decided to sit on one of the chairs in the meantime.

"Do you have hobbies that don't involve slobbering your mouth over a member?"

"Don't even say his name." She said with a straight face. She chuckled at his attempt to insult her, "I could ask you the same question. But I actually do have a question. How fucked up in the head are you? Using my brother to try to hurt me? That's sick and twisted. Even for you."

"I fucking said I regretted it! I regret doing that! I shouldn't have fucked him in the first bloody place."

How many times would he have to repeat that? James rubbed his temples wishing that he was high as he was able to brush anything off better, but he had to show Jerome, Lily, Louis, and all them that he was very capable of stopping.

"I plan on bloody abstaining so I don't make any more dumb fucking decisions that I'm bound to regret."

Plus it'd be one less thing for the school to talk about.

"As you fucking should. My brother is a better man than you will ever be." She said, ready to fight to defend Atticus honor. "You really shouldn't have. You caused nothing but problems for both of us." She laughed at the idea of him not having sex, "You're a man whore Potter. And a druggie. This whole clean act, is simply that. An act. It'll all go back downhill eventually. Just have to let you destroy yourself."

His fist clenched as he listened to Alayna go on and on about how he was some awful person. She wanted him to fail. She wanted Lien and him to both fail. She was sick. But it was okay for her to be sick. It was okay to mess with people's lives. The double standards were irritating.

"I'm trying to get sober for the fucking sprog. You might as well go plan a fucking celebration as I'm going to be dropping out the moment it's born."

Fuck this school. Fuck Alayna the most. Lien should've turned her into the ugly beast she was deep down. Everyone would've been thankful for it.

Alayna nodded in fake sympathy, "Oh. I didn't know. Well, in that case... Evelyn should just leave now before you even have a chance to fuck up that poor kids life. You know like you do to everyone's life you become a part of.." but then her eyes lit up when he mentioned dropping out, "I'll help you fill out the paperwork." She said with a snarky smirk on her lips.

"You really are a cunt, Alayna. You're allowed to fuck up people's lives because you're not a Potter, but every bloody mistake I make is..."

Although his thinking was functioning better with the side effect of being especially moody, James found himself struggling to find an apt word. This is a moment he wished Lien was around for backup. He felt bad for the frog choir member stuck listening to this; why did Alayna get a slap on the wrist simply because she didn't access the intercom? He glanced down at the floor and took a deep breath.

"And you hloody wonder why Lien wants to hex you whenever he gets the opportunity. Bloody wish he turned you into a pig."

Alayna faked modesty and smirked, "You say the nicest things, Potter."she laughed and shook her head, "That was retaliation my dear. You fucked first by fucking with me and Lien. If you hadn't, I wouldn't have done what I had. You're actions have consequences. I just like to think of myself as a cosmic karma bitch." She narrowed her eyes and grinned, "Yet he didn't. Because he's an even bigger pussy than you are."

Fucked with her and Lien? He wasn't too sure about that seeing as how Lien came to his senses and dumped her right after getting with her. "Then why didn't Lien side with you? He's not a fan of bitches like you."

What was there to lose at this point? James pulled out his wand and gripped it firmly before pointing it at Alayna to send off an instant scalping hex.

"Don't you bloody fucking dare call Lien a coward. Fucking with him crosses a major red line of mine."

"I don't really care. I'm thankful he did. He was holding me back. And now I'm happier than I've ever been" she said a bit of venom dripping from her voice. Alayna saw the quick wand grab and quickly dodged out of the way, "quick to defend your little fuck toy, Potter. God you must still be on drugs. Ten points from Gryffindor and I'll be reporting you to Professor Riddle." She had gripped her wand during her rant and was ready to hex him into oblivion, "Put the wand down, James."

"I'm not on anything you fucking bitch! Lien should've fed Ratmy to a snake! You being that snake. Cannibalize that bloody lapdog you call a boyfriend."

James didn't put his wand down; he can say Alayna provoked him as it was technically the truth. Lien would understand. Lien would do the same. He sent a bat bogey hex towards Alayna.

The frog choir member watched them unfazed.

Alaynas grip tightened when he mentioned Ptolemy's incident and managed to block his bogey hex, "Stupefy." She shouted as she pointed her wand. She didn't want to hurt him. Well, that was a lie. She did want to hurt him. But she didn't want to get in trouble. Ptolemy just got off restriction. She didn't need to be out on one herself. She just needed to subdue him. Or hopefully things would get loud enough that someone would hear them.

James was ready to send out another hex when he fell to the floor, his hand still grasping his wand. Everything went black. Somebody needed to work on his dueling skills.

Alayna watched as James hit the floor and stood frozen for a moment. She gathered her senses and turned and ran from the room. Fuck this. She was not getting in trouble for this. She went straight for professor Riddle's office, texting Ptolemy and Atticus as she ran about what ha dust happened. She was tired for these fuckers trying to hurt her. She might even have to write Theodore about it if nothing was done. If nothing else, her mother would force his hand for him.

Reed was returning to his classroom after getting some snacks from the staff room when he saw Alayna run out from there. What was going on? He leapt to the classroom to find a stunned James lying there on the floor.

"Man!"

What should he do now? Er. Reed pulled out his crystal and sent Skylar a message telling her to meet him in his room immediately. She'd know what to do.

Skylar was doing paperwork when she got a text from Reed. She smiled as she picked up her crystal but soon frowned when she read his message. She quickly got to her feet and rush to his room, "What happened here?" She asked as she kneeled beside James. She put her fingers to his neck to check for a pulse. It was there. That was good.

"I got no idea, Skylar! I was grabbing some snacks from the staff room, I was starving, you know! Next thing I know as I approached the room, Alayna was running out with James lying there on the floor!"

The Frog Choir member was still chilling at the chair fine with not being noticed.

Reed was grateful that Skylar was around to help; he'd always forgotten the revival spell.

Skylar listened as hhe spoke fk what happened anand nodded, "I see. I think he might just be stunned. We should get him to the wing and in a bed. And then we should find Ms. Nott and find out what happened." She took out her wand and did the revival spell needed to wake James up. He would be easier to transport if he was awake.

James' eyes slowly fluttered back into awareness as a blurred out Reed and Healer Ashton were within his point of view.

"Did she run off?"

Reed nodded relieved to see James wake up with ease. "Yeah, dude!" He looked over at Skylar wondering if they were going to take him to the hospital wing first or ask him questions before going there.

"As we take you to the hospital wing, can you tell us your side of the story?"
