Please help (lochlan and Ptolemy)

Alayna ran up the path to the castle from Hogsmeade with Ptolemy still in her hands. She had ditched her heels after almost falling three times. She would just buy another pair. She ran through the castle to Professor Riddle's office and burst through the door, "Professor Riddle! Please help!" She held up Ptolemy's rat form with tears in her eyes, "He's a rat! That fucking rat turned him into a rat!"

Ptolemy stood up. He'd endured all of that: heard that bastard Chang invent these straight-faced lies in front of the pair of them. It was like he was mocking them, and Ptolemy didn't like it one bit. There were other ways to get back at Chang, but they weren't going to happen inside of Professor Riddle's eyes.

"Let's go, Alayna," he muttered, taking her hand.

Alayna frowned but nodded when Riddle said she would message her crystal, "Yes sir." She looked at Ptolemy and took his hand in hers, "Alright... I'm hungry anyway." She really was she hadn't eaten all day. She kissed Ptolemy one more time, not caring about Riddle or Lien, "I love you." She said with a small smile before the left the office.

As soon as they were out of sight and had walked down the hall enough, Lien turned to Professor Riddle.

"I did do it. Ptolemy Rowle is a rat, sir. A sneaking, dirty rat."

Riddle didn't answer at first, but had then confessed that he already knew Lien had done it. It was written on your face he said, and Lien decided to take his word for it. Three evenings of detention was what he was given, ending on the day of the Quidditch match. Riddle also warned him about having to take away his badge if anything like this happened again.

He left the office feeling lighter, and surprisingly not upset about the prospect of detention. He had been studying hard for a while, and detention wasn't something he'd experienced before. It was different.

Perhaps he wanted to start embracing different.
