Professor Riddle approached the staff room, glancing about his shoulder to see if there was anyone lurking around inside the corridor. His hair was completely off: the intricate varying shades of greying blond were all a single tone, and his eyes were quite obviously blue despite their usual dark brown.

Out of all the Professors, Ptolemy was going to assume the appearance of one he actually had respect for.

No one was around there anyway, as far as he could tell. The morphing was just for precaution. Once he was inside the empty room, he went searching for the magical leyline that connected the loud speaker system around Hogwarts. It wasn't hard to find. He figured it would be in there.

Going inside the small office, he changed into Perdita. He needed a voice no one would recognise. And he had to do this quickly, or the Professors may catch him. Quickly, clearly, concisely.

"Good evening students of Hogwarts."

Good. Her voice was amplified and broadcasting all around the castle.  In the gymnasium where the students were, in the common rooms: from the north tower to the dungeons.

"There's really something you should all know that's been brought to my attention. It's about the son of The Chosen One, the one we all expected to be the golden child. Well, it can't come as a shock to you that he isn't. That's not what I want to talk about, though." Perdita paused, smirking. "I wanted to talk about how he's been lying to us all. I want to talk to you about how he isn't what he says he is, what he insists he is. All the poor girls he has strung along until now deserve to know the truth - that James Potter, is in fact, gay."

"That's right. He's gay. Always has been. If you thought he ever loved you? I can assure you, he didn't. He was just using you. What he really wants is your brother, your ex boyfriend... or your current one."

"Right now he's trying to steal Alayna's. He's completely smitten with Lien Chang - although he's quite clearly not into you, Jamesy. So why don't you stop ruining everyone else's happiness with your perpetual lies? We all know what you are now. Gay. Gay and very, very sad. Sad enough to try and bring us all down with you."

"Well. It's been nice to chat with you all, but it seems I must go now. Toodle pip."

There were sounds from the corridor outside the staff room. Perdita quickly stood up and turned back into Professor Riddle. Then he grinned to himself, very satisfied with what he accomplished. What a nice way to round off the evening.

Reed stood there dumbfounded. He looked over at Skylar as he snacked on one of the small pastriess.

"There is nothing cool about doing that! Nothing! Whoever did that is in my after hours shit list, man!"

He was allowed to dislike students!

"Sorry Mione - but fuck that. This girl's gonna be sorry she said anythin'."

Surely this was something someone could get expelled for. He took around the corner, then saw Riddle stood there.

"Oi! Riddle! What're you doin' 'round 'ere?" He clenched his fists in anger. Instead of thinking Riddle could be there for the same reason they were, he thought he was immediately suspicious.

Skylar hand covered her mouth as the announcement played, "Oh that poor poor boy." James must be feeling so much right now.

Ptolemy didn't turn when he heard Fred's voice. Instead, he just waved his arm above his head dismissively.

"Go back to the dance, Weasley. I'll handle this. I saw her going this way."

And, with that, he took off quickly down the hall before he could say anything else. His voice hadn't exactly been Professor Riddle's, but Ptolemy thought it was close enough. He just had to get out of there.

After seeing the horrors of war at such a young age, Hernione always preferred a gentler, more peaceful approach. Emotions were running high, however, and she merely nodded in agreement.

"Did Riddle drink?"

"Tosser..."

He watched him go, irritated.

"What? I dunno. He just looked like a wanker, as usual." Fred wasn't the most observant sometimes.

"His voice was a bit strained. Of course, that could be from disciplining students..."

It was good to give her higher-ups some sort od benefit of doubt.

"Let's see if the student left a trace!"

Hermione went into the staff lounge.

"Yeah... now ya mention it, he did sound slightly more obnoxious than he does normally."

Fred took off his hat, and scratched his head.

"Good idea!"

He went into the office with her.

Camille stood there stunned by what she was hearing; she would've been so humiliated if something similar happened to her at Beauxbatons! Without second thought, she dashed up to the podium to do a bit of damage control the moment the announcement ended.

"Us Hogwarts staff are very sorry about this incident! No student was given permission to use the PA system during the dance, especially not for such a heinous act like this!"

For once, she was being as authoritative as the job demanded. She used her veela charisma to try to draw everyone's attention to what she was saying.

"The student found responsible WILL be held accountable and disciplined as appropriately defined in the student handbook!"

Marilyn gasped. Not only was James a deadbeat by leaving her sister at the dance alone, he was also gay?!

Eloisa, who didn't attend the dance, stirred slightly on her bed hearing what was being blasted through the intercom.

"Huh..?"

She stood there. Hm, okay. This wasn't remarkable.

Cepheus had knew James was gay for ages, or at least had an idea he was. The male had been crossing his arms and let out a little clap. “I have to admit Potter is an excellent actor.” he shouted. “Now I must admit was it really nessacary that we did this today, since it is humiliating?” said Cepheus who did love chaos a lot. He just didn’t think this was the place to ruin it or maybe it was because he had some caring for James.

Archer stood in silence at what was going on. He didn’t know what to make of it, but it was kinda of stupid for James. “What is wrong with embracing your sexuality?” he asked with a sigh. He said asking the nearest person who he hoped would give him some kind of answer he valued.

Albus couldn’t believe this was happening and he said. “I know exactly who is responsible for this.” he said having a feeling it was his new little friend group. James should have known better. He sent a text to James hoping he’d respond.

James wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to his crystal notifications. It was one of the very last things he desired to look at currently.

"I was right about 'er bein' a bloody snake!"

Emery needed a break from Jovian to say the least, and when the announcement when on the loud speaker. She couldn’t help but shake her head. He was making a fool of her Quidditch team, but she also felt terrible for him right now. She went to find James hoping she could talk to him. She didn’t want Jovian following her.

Evelyn was emotional right now after being left at the dance. She was pregnant with James’s baby right now and basically it meant she’d have a taint on her family name. She was crying in the bathroom right now. This was horrible,

“He’s such as fucking Asshole.”

He managed to change back to himself and re-enter the dance. He crossed his arms over his chest in satisfaction, smirking to himself.

Ollie felt terrible for James right now that someone thought this okay. Sure he should be more honest about his sexuality, but no one deserved this. He looked for Gemma who was probably having a ball right now with what was going on.

"You're going somewhere?" He took hold of her arm so that she would turn back. "Where are you going?" He stared blankly at her. What could she possibly do about what just happened?

Hermione walked around the staff room until she found the leyline. Were there any finger prints to be found?

"Fred, do you have dirt for us to lift a fingerprint with?"

She felt like Sherlock; this was exciting!

Ingrid didn’t like the antics of the gang, and felt like this was something that was their doing and she wanted to destroy them. She had been curious, and looked for Siobhan, but spotted Ptolemy. “I feel like this is something that you were responsible for, and it’s wrong.” she said. Even if she had no clue who it was, something just felt not right about what was going on.
