at best it's lukewarm (hazel)

After the events of Alayna's party, Louis hadn't had the opportunity to speak to Hazel about it alone. Their schedules had clashed somewhat and the rest of the time they were surrounded by other friends, so now it had gotten to early October and he was wondering about their relationship. Were they still together? How did she really feel about everything, about him? However much he seemed to float about in life taking things for what they were, even Louis needed to talk things through sometimes.

He'd sent a message to her on his crystal about coming to his room that afternoon. He was positive everything would be resolved between them, and perhaps the situation in general.

Hazel didn't feel like talking to Louis, but she knew that Carina and Alayna were both incredibly fucked up. She had gotten the message from Louis, and went to his dorm, and entered to see him there. She felt like them talking would be healthy, but she couldn't be with someone who went for other people, or was too nice to realize, Carina was hitting on him.

She crossed her arms, "You wanted to see me?" she spoke softly. She did like Louis a lot, because he knew how to please her and Hazel wanted that more than anything. "I'm not mad at you, I just am unsure."

Looking up from the couch in the small living space, he smiled at her.

"Hello Hazel," he said in his usual cheery tone, pouring her a cup of tea. "You like yours the same as I do, don't you? Milk and no sugar?"

When she had said what she did, Louis paused briefly to look at her. He was holding the teapot.

"Tell me what you're unsure about," he said kindly.

Hazel took a seat by Louis and gave him a sigh, "I feel like Carina likes you a lot, and I feel like they are doing everything in their power to make sure we break up." she said.

She shook her head when Louis offered her some tea. "I'm not in the mood for any tea right now." she didn't want to argue with Louis right now. "I just think you are often too nice for your own good, and there is nothing wrong about that. It's one of my favorite things about you, but I think people get the wrong message." she sighed.

Hazel liked Louis a lot, but Carina and Alayna made her feel unsure since they seemed hellbent on plotting her downfall.

"I like you a lot Louis, and I don't want anyone ruining that." she sighed. She didn't want to marry Jovian, and if she had lost Louis she'd have no other choice, but to fall for Jovian.

Louis put the teapot down when she said about not being in the mood for it. He listened to her, nodding every so often.

"I'm sorry, Hazel," he said, casting his eyes downwards. He never wanted Hazel to feel that way or to be unhappy while she was with him, but it seemed that she was. Louis didn't know what to say or do. "I will try to keep my distance from her as much as I possibly can."

He held her hand.

"I don't want you to be unhappy, Hazel. Just tell me what I can do."

Hazel didn’t want him not talking to Carina, but he needed to let her know that they were only ever going to be friends. She didn’t mind them being friends, really, but she knew Carina fancied him. “Don’t be sorry Louis, you got a huge heart of gold, and I don’t mind you talking to Carina, but she needs to know that your just friends.” she said with a smile. She hated Carina and Alayna due to what they had a tenancy to do with certain people.

When Louis grabbed her hand Hazel let out a soft sigh, “I love you a lot Louis, and I’m sorry for being terrible to you.” she said with a huge sigh on her face. “I’ve just been stressed since my mother told me we have no way out with the engagement.” she said scooting over and leaning her head on his shoulder, “I just don’t want anyone else ruining my chance of being happy, and Carina just needs to know there is no way in you’ll be together.” she sighed.

"I'll tell her Hazel, if it would make you feel better."

He smiled at her and leaned forward, giving her a slow, soft kiss on the lips.

"You couldn't be terrible to me even if you tried," he assured her, chuckling brightly. It was silly to think of Hazel ever upsetting him, because it would never happen. He was sure of it. "You're wonderful. I like just being around you, although I know you and I both have busy schedules this year with all of our aspirations and goals." This is why he felt they worked well: they were both very certain in what they wanted to do with their lives.

"But if there is anything else I could do for you, anything at all, please tell me."

Hazel loved Louis with all her heart, and she gave him a smile. “Thanks, but I don’t want you being a dick to her.” she spoke with a smile on her face, and giving him a soft kiss, oh how she loved kissing him. His lips tasted so sweet to her. She was glad Louis enjoyed being around her, and she decided to sit on his lap, and she snuggled with him. “We are a power couple with our eyes set on big dreams, and I’d love for us to get married once we are done with this year.” she spoke to Louis, because he’d made her feel incredibly happy.

She didn’t want Louis to do anything else, since she was wanted to just spend this moment with him. “I’ve been speaking to my mother about ending my engagement.” she spoke with a sigh. “She’s still a no go for it saying I need a guy who lock me in his house with how bratty I am.” she said as she cuddled Louis. He made her feel so safe and secure right now.
