What's cooking? (Alayna)

First topic message reminder :

Receiving a message from Alayna, Atticus replied to meet her in the kitchens that evening for a nice chicken casserole. He'd also baked some bread while waiting. Cooking calmed him somewhat: it was good to focus on one thing instead worrying about everything else.

He wondered what Alayna wanted to talk about, but was always open to hearing her worries and concerns. He wouldn't be much of a brother if he wasn't there for her.

"I know you wouldn't. You're the reason I'm not. Because I'd beat the shit out of anyone who outted you like that." She outed when he told her to eat the vegetables, "Yes mom." She said, mockingly as she picked up the piece did broccoli and popped them into her mouth one by one, "So are you gonna ask him or see if he asks you?"

"Well... Fortunately for them, I'm already out the closet." And what a relief it was to be as well.

"I'll ask him. If he does before I do, though, there it is. I'd be gutted if he wanted to go with someone else," Atticus laughed, "There's no one else I'd think of asking though, so if that's the case I'll just tag along with you and Lien." He grinned.

"I've seen the way you look at him. I also see the way he's looked at you. I don't think he wants to go with anyone else." She said, certain of it. "Well you know you're always welcome to crash my date. I wouldn't allow it if it was anyone else. But for you, anything " she said, kissing his cheek.

Here's to positive thinking.

"I have to clean these plates." And it really was a 'have' to. He hated the idea of them being left, even when the elves were very efficient in what they did. At the other school, the students were the elves.

"You know mother's always going on about manifesting what you want into a reality. So that's what I'm doing. Lien will ask me to the dance." She stood up when he got up to clean the dishes and followed him to the sink, "You rinse. I'll dry." She said with a smile.
