sibling bonding ((medea))

Doran had been told that for his first Hogsmeade meeting one of his sisters would be coming to join him, and it was safe to say the thought scared him a lot, He never felt close to any of his siblings yet he strongly felt like he was the favorite due to his gender, but Doran loved his dad a lot, all he showed him was love. He just didn’t agree with his family’s thoughts, and believed in a free wizarding world.

He waited outside Zonkos for one of his siblings to come, and hoped the the day go by past.

Instead of enjoying the day before her shift that night, Medea was stuck in the unfortunate predicament of playing escort for Doran's first school-sanctioned Hogsmeade visit. She stomped towards Zonko's to see that her younger brother was already there waiting. What a twerp.

"Why couldn't dad have gotten Gabby or Kenzie to go with you instead?" interrogated Medea not bothering to glance at her brother.

The cold expression was what Doran expected from his sister. He knew she didn’t like him in the slightest. “Dad wanted them to enjoy it by themselves, and thought you’d be a good person for me to bond with.” said Doran with a shrug. He didn’t have the answers, because he was pretty positive that the feeling was mutual right now.

"Kenzie's the closest in age to you. He should've had you and her bond instead of forcing me all the way out here when I'm trying to enjoy my day before work tonight." Medea was annoyed; she would have to talk to dad about it as soon as she got the chance. There was no way she'd let the babies be coddled. "How has classes been?"

Urgh. This was the last thing she wanted to do. Medea might as well try and buy something worthwhile from Zonko's. She began walking into the store not waiting for Doran to answer her question.

Doran hoped that Medea wouldn't complain the entire time right now. He didn't want to be here either, but Doran also didn't have friends either, since the people the Riddles associated with he didn't agree with her beliefs. He'd never tell his family that, and he'd rather let them think that he didn't have friends because he was a Riddle.

"Kenzie is probably off with Carina and Alayna, anyway. She'd probably ditch me out," he said with a little sigh. Since it seemed like that's how things would sometimes be ended up being. "I also don't feel like being the tagalong for a whole bunch of popular girls, because it's super annoying." he groaned. He didn't like popularity and quite personally didn't really seek it if you were to ask him that. "My classes have been fine, I'm taking a class with Professor Trelawney," he said. The woman had definitely been an interesting woman. "Did you like her?"

Of course Kenzie would ditch him. Hell, Medea would too if she had the option, but there had to be some family loyalty. The only one of her younger siblings that she could actually stand was Gabby, and that was because she was no-nonsense and didn't come off as desperate to her. "How is she popular?" she questioned before grabbing a random box off of the shelf. Medea figured that if nothing else, Mats would be able to find a way to have fun with the joke products.

"I was never all that into astronomy."

She had no particular feelings regarding most professors.

Doran knew his life wasn’t exactly normal, and his siblings the usual older siblings. Each of the Riddles had some kind of distinct quality about them. It was actually quite interrelating.

“She says the group of friends and her are always popular, and people are nervous of them.” he sighed,

It’s always what In a lot of ways always occurred to him, and he gave Medea a look. “She teaches Divination, and why don’t don’t like Astronomy?” asked Doran. He found the topic quite interesting and if he could would definitely look more into it since it had a lot of good qualities.

She wasn't the biggest fans of Kenzie's friends either. By being associated with Kenzie, she automatically deemed them as being annoying and unworthy.

"Oh, she teaches divination? That's why I don't have any thoughts on her." Medea glanced at one of the product boxes. Frog spawn soap. That looked useful. "Don't you know that every one with a functioning brain knows that Divination is bollocks?"
