Knight In Shining Armor (Niall)

Albus had wanted to meet his brother boyfriend or whatever it was called. He didn’t know and he didn’t think James would let him be introduced, and he wanted to know he wouldn’t hurt his brother. Okay it’s not like a fourteen year old could do much, but he was willing to fight for him.

His brother was an ass, but he deserved a good guy. Everyone deserved a good lover.

The male had walked up to the tower and he leaned against one of the walls. When he saw a group of people come out he grabbed someone and he said “We need to talk.” giving a confident grin.

Niall yawned, thinking he should probably find Aeris for dinner soon. Just as he exited the common room, however, something took hold of his lapels and dragged him off to one side. With both brows raised in surprise, he realised he was looking at Albus - James's brother. Weird. What was this all about?

"Aye, do ye now?" He asked, pulling on his hands to get him to release him.

Bit of a dramatic introduction, this.

Letting go of Niall he gave a smirk, “We do indeed.” it wasn’t normal for a little brother to be protective of his brother. Taking a look to see if anyone was looking and once the coast was clear he turned, “I need to know you won’t hurt my older brother. He’s probably going to kill me, but I also don’t care.”

"Catch yerself on, I won't do anythin' to him." Did this mean James had been talking to his brother about him? Maybe he wanted things to be more serious, or something. He supposed, instead of asking James and while Albus was right here, he may as well ask him. "Is he havin' a wee cack attack 'cause he thinks I don't care?"

His accent was pretty thick at times, and he knew that. So he added:

"Does he want things to be more official, is what I'm askin'?"

Albus probably shouldn’t have done this, but it’s not like James told him anything. He just wanted to know. When Niall asked him the question he didn’t understand at first, but he finally did. “No that’s the problem. He doesn’t tell me anything, so I wanted to check. It’s not like he do this for me. So I wanted to check to see if you knew anything.” he said rubbing the back to his head. “Sorry if this is weird for you.” looking down at his feet.

"Bit weird, aye, but I get ye."

He sort of shrugged.

"Honestly, I think Potter - James..." It was weird calling him by his first name. Even when they were intimate, he hardly ever called him James. "Is a bit like me, unless I'm readin' it a wee bit wrong. We're just havin' a bit of fun, and like each other. But I don't know if we're serious or not. Maybe I should be properly datin' him. But I just never been on a date before, ye know?"

He gave another unhelpful shrug.

Okay that was a shock to Albus as he heard Niall talk about James. His brother had often worried him and he didn’t exactly help as he just wanted to be close. “You guys sound alike? I mean James does write songs, so I guess he’s a romantic.” he said with a laugh and the date thing made him look, “You never been on a date before?” now that was a shocking thing to learn.
