Oh Wow (Carmen)

Kai had finished his shift at work and decided he wanted a drink at a bar that wasn't the one he was at, so he went to the new club that had just opened Bloodlines to not only scope them out but also see if they were any good. According to some customers from his place it was a good place to go to but he never been here fully in person. The Shaw man walked into the club and walked straight to the bar and ordered himself a scotch.

Carmen had avoided bars and clubs for a while now but she decided to give it try to this new club what had just opened. The girl had managed to make her newfound friend Pietro babysit Skye for today, they lived in the same house anyways. Carmen walked into the club and walk over the bar. She ordered herself some cocktail, she barely remembers the names, it had been awhile she had gone these places. She couldn't really drink any alcohol awhile. She noticed someone else sitting there but for now, she decided to ignore the person, she wasn't really her to find someone to spend time with, just to relax for a bit.

As he sat there drinking his scotch and listening to good music (yes the music was good) he noticed a blonde sit down next to him. He did a side glance before he did a double take. She looked familiar like he has seen her before. "Do I know you?" He asked.

Carmen looked at the person who asked does she know her. She looked at the person and shrugged. "Maybe, if met like a few months ago, haven't been to bars or clubs awhile," she said with a small smile.

"Malakai Shaw"

Kai looked at her confused, he could have sworn he met her on a personal level. He sat there slowly sipping his drink thinking of her face and then it clicked to him. "Oh! I do remember you, we slept together a while a go, I knew I remembered seeing you before" he said to her.

Carmen heard what he said now but this made her be shocked. "Wait, what? When? Oh my god sorry, don't really remember you, Sorry," she said there honestly and took a sip from her drink.

Malakai couldn't think of the name of the blonde female sitting next to him but maybe his name could ring a bell? Who knows even if she didn't remember him he'd let her be because he never really stayed with a one-night stand. "My name is Malakai or Kai whichever one" he said to her.

When the male said his name then some things clicked in her mind. "Oh, damn," she mumbled there and drank her entire cocktail away and ordered new one. "I'm Carmen," she her name finally too. She had just found her baby Skye's father. She had no clue how to even say it to him.

He heard her say 'damn' and he was highly confused, he didn't think he was that bad when it came to the bedroom but from her reaction he was guessing that was it. Maybe he wasn't good enough for her in the bedroom. "Nice to officially meet you Carmen, so what brings you here?" He asked curiously.

Carmen just sighed and wasn't sure if he should tell im or ignore him there now. This was something what wasn't easy to tell. That you are the father of my kid, who is just a few months old. "Just need someday by myself and some drink. After months of not being able to drink," she said there now something. "What about you?" she asked back.

Kai didn't really see a difference in the blonde woman, except that she didn't drink in a couple months but people did get busy, hell he got busy with work and woman who were available for him. "Well you've been missing out on the good stuff and as for me I have been working and just living life" Kai answered honestly.

Carmen looked at the guy in front of her and took a deep breath. It's not like she didn't want to come to these places and drink. she wasn't allowed to drink alcohol. "Well It's like more likely I wasn't allowed to drink or it would harm the baby with who I was pregnant with," she decided to say out loud. "I have been living my life too of course. Having just few months old baby," she said with a weak smile.

Kai was in mid sip when he heard what the blonde just dropped on him. He coughed since his alcohol went down the wrong pipe and when he had officially recovered he looked at the blonde. "You're a mother? That's great congrats" Kai congratulated not really thinking much of it.

Carmenita rolled her eyes there now and his reaction. She a bit of glad that she didn't put the two things together. "Yeah, I'm one now, she four months old," she said with a small smile. She took a sip from her drink. "I'm here not for one night stands or anything like that. That's how I ended up pregnant with her even," she added.

When the blonde began to talk about how her baby was four months old, he nodded. "Well congratulations on the baby, I bet you and the father are happy together and good to know you're done with one night stands. I am sure the father was highly shocked" Kai took a sip of his drink.

Carmen sighed there when she mentioned that she might be happy together with Skye's father. That male was so wrong there now. "Thanks?" that sounded more like a question than answer. "I'm not happily together with her father at all. I have never even told him that he is a father,"she said there simply. She wasn't sure how to break it down. "I didn't know how to reach him after that or contact even. I can barely even remember what happened," she added with a sigh. She took a sip from her drink and just looked at the glass there now. She tried to not think about it. All that was past.

Kai looked at the blonde woman next to him and couldn't help but scoff at her reply about how she never told the father. "That is a horrible way to raise a child. You should find him and tell him, hell he could want children for all you know. You're selfish" Kai didn't care.

Carmen sighed there now. She was talking to the father of her kid here at this moment but saying that out loud was harder than she had imagined. "Do you think it would be easy to find someone when you barely even remember the name of him?" she asked there quite a dumb question. "Technically I have told him about her by now. Not just that she is his. Just use your brain," she said and kept starring at that glass there. It was most interesting there right now.

Kai was so damn confused, he will never understand woman especially single mothers who thought that they knew everything. He sighed and took a gulp of his drink before tapping his glass for another refill. "Then why are you sitting here talking to me and not talking to the man who got you pregnant. Take your frustrations out on him or pick up a random guy and have some fun" Kai suggested.

Carmen looked at Malakai after she heard what he said and just sighed there. To make this male understand was so much harder than she imagined. She did drink her glass empty once again and didn't say anything for a while. She was talking with the person who got her pregnant. "Well, okay so let me ask you do you remember the time when we did sleep together? It was over a year ago right?" she started now there. "And who says I'm not talking with the father of my kid right now. You are just slow to understand that," she added there now. She technically spelt it out for him that he is the father. If she doesn't understand now then Carmen will just give up.

Malakai really believed she was insulting him and then he leaned back in his chair and thought over all that had been said to him. He was slow he would admit that but then the pieces fit together and he looked at her with wide eyes. Oh no!

"Please tell me you're joking and that you slept with someone else around the same time you slept with me?" He didn't mean to call her a whore but he couldn't be a dad.

Carmen kept looking at the glass in front of her there and took a deep breath. She looked at Kai. "I'm pretty sure I didn't sleep after that or before that with anyone else," she said there simply. She almost wanted to say that she couldn't since she had to go back to Hogwarts soon after that. "I know it's very hard to believe but what I'm telling is the truth. You believe me or not is up to you," she added.

Kai was insanely shocked about all of this. He was a dad? But then again he probably wasn't and she was just lying to him. Kai didn't know what to believe, this wouldn't be the first time he was believed to have a child with someone and it turned out it was a lie to begin with. "Well I am not saying I don't believe you or I do, but I hope you can understand I need a test. This wouldn't be the first time this was pulled on me and I don't want to raise a kid that is not mine but if she is then I will be here" Kai explained to her.

Carmen knew that this male might not believe his words then again she wouldn't believe just mere words too. "Sure we can do that test. Which will prove that you are the father," she said there with a small smile and looked up from her glass finally. "We can do it whenever you are ready to do it," she added.

Kai was so going to be hit by someone if they found out that he had knocked up someone and wasn't around for it. Mostly his sister but he couldn't help it, he nodded his head. "Good, my lawyer will be in touch, now if you excuse me" Kai paid for his drinks and took his leave. He needed to go home and drink by himself.
