Dewey wanted to spend some time practicing Quidditch, even though he knew that it would just be him practicing. Which was something he was not opposed too. Walking out to the Quidditch pitch with his broom in his hand, as he looked around the pitch letting out a small sigh. He couldn't wait for them to start games, but they needed a full team in order to do that. So the boy decided to get on his broom, as he put on his gloves. He decided to do a couple laps around the pitch, and soon made his way back down as he got off his broom and looked around to see if anyone would want to join him.

Alice walked down to the pitch to get some fresh air and couldnt help the wide smile that spread across her face when she saw Dewey. She didnt know what it was, but he always had her smiling. And she liked that. She moved some hair out of her face and took a seat in the bleachers and watched him fly around

Dewey hoped that someone would be willing to fly with him. The job of a keeper could not be done unless someone was around to do some laps with him. After a couple minutes, Dewey spotted someone that made him smile. He saw that Alice had come, and it began to wonder if maybe it had been fate to bring them because she was afraid of heights. Walking over to the Hufflepuff, the boy let out a small smile, "I thought you were afraid of heights, Alice?"

"Well in order to get over your fears, you have to face them." smiled the Gryffindor looking at Alice. Who he had to say the boy was growing quite fond of her. "Of course I can help you. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it," said Dewey, putting his hands in his pockets because it was rather cold. "It's a perfect way to face your fear." smiled Dewey, hoping that he could help Alice. Even though the boy was not the type of boy who taught.

Alice nodded "Im really scared. Promise me you wont let me fall." She asked looking at him. She tightened her jacket around her body and just sighed "Also can we start closer to the ground?"

Dewey could not but secretly laugh at Alice, because she was cute. "This is completely normal Alice. I promise you're not going to fall, I wouldn't help you if I knew you would fall." smiled Dewey hoping to give her reassurance. "Sure we can start close to the ground, but first I am going to get myself a school broom because I am going to have you use mine." the boy didn't trust the school brooms with his life and he wanted to Alice to be safe.

Alice took a few deep breaths to try and calm her nerves before nodding "Alright. I trust you." She said taking the broom from his hands and looked at it. She didnt understand all the fuss over brooms. In Alices mind, they were just another object. Nothing really special. She looked up at him "Ok what now?"

"I knew you would come around Alice," he said with enthusiasm. The boy quickly ran over to the broom closest and grabbed himself the closest broom, hoping it would be a good broom. Making his way back to Alice, the Gryffindor set his broom down and he put his hands on his hips looking up at Alice. "Now you're going to get on my broom. It's one of the latest models, so there shouldn't be any sort of issues." smiled the Gryffindor.

Alice nodded and mounted the broom getting on. She gripped the handle tightly and took a few more deep breaths. She was absolutely terrified of flying, but she had to do this in order to keep her grades up

Dewey watched Alice get on her broom, and he knew deep down she would do well. After she was situated Dewey got on the school broom, not even caring to know what the model would be. Once he was on the broom he looked at Alice and he looked at his friend and he said. "Now just take it steady Alice. We will start off slow first."

Alice lightly kicked off the ground and shot straight up in the air and began screaming. SHe was about 10 feet off the ground and she clung to the broom for dear life "Get me down!" She shouted as tears came to her eyes. She was terrified. She felt like she couldnt move. She was literally frozen in fear.

Dewey watched in horror as he got up and heard Alice screaming to get her down. He flew over to her and saw that she was clinging to the broom, and he let out a sigh. "Calm down, the first time is always scary. Just take a deep breath and just focus on getting this town, you're not going to fall. I don't let friends fall." smiled the Gryffindor, hoping to reassure. He looked at her, "Just take it slow and easy, you got this."

He sighed as he saw Alice had still been crying, and he knew that it was only right to grant her request. "If you want to come down then come down, just do the same thing as you did getting up," he said putting his hands on his broom. "I am not trying to scare you, Alice, I just wanted to help."

Dewey let out a small smile as watched her come to the ground and had been happy that she was alright. He brought his broom the ground and he dismounted looking at his friend. "It's fine don't worry about it. I was stupid for trying to push it, perhaps maybe we should have taken the process slower." smiled the fourth year. He felt bad that he scared Dewey, knowing that she would eventually have to get over her fear, but he wasn't certainly going to push it. "Listen don't worry about it, I will let you take a bit of a breather before anything is done again."

Dewey gave her a smile, "Take all the time you need." smiled Dewey. He cared about Alice a lot, and he then looked around and smiled again at what she had to say. "Your welcome. I do anything for my friends."

She nodded and walked over to the bleachers and grabbed her school bag pulling a water bottle out and sipping from it. She sighed and looked up at the sky before looking back down at Dewey. She tied her hair up in a pony tail and nodded confidently. She walked back over to him broom in hand and smiled "Lets do this."

Dewey watched as Alice went to the bleachers and get a drink. Standing patiently, the boy looked on his phone while he waited, but before he knew Alice had been back with her hair tied up. Smiling at her comment. "I knew you would pull through. Flying is literally the best thing once you get used to it. Now like I said take it nice and easy."

Dewey watched Alice go up and saw that it seemed to go better than the first. Letting out a small smile, "You're doing fine, and I won't have to you go high, just yet. But as time goes on, you need to know that you're going to have to." sighed the Gryffindor. If she was more ready than he would have her go right away.

Dewey had gotten on her broom and went to Alice's height. He was going to see if she could go straight first, and after that would decide what would happen next. "We're going to fly forward and maybe backward. But let's just see how you do going forward first." smiled the Gryffindor.
