Transfiguration Lesson 2: Desk Into Pig ((Hogwarts students))

Alberich was writing on the chalkboard the spell he was going to teach for class; he decided it would be a good time to try to teach a few more advanced spells due to the growing danger from Death Eaters. He wanted to make sure the students were prepared in case of an emergency situation, especially if any professors were incapacitated. Sighing, he rubbed some sweat off of his forehead nervous about how class was going to go. he found out the hard way that the students didn't necessarily match the prestige of Hogwarts. However, he wasn't going to give up and quit. The school needed him, and it was his responsibility to make sure that every student would have the knowledge to become successful adults. Ready for students, he opened the door and slid in the doorstop opting to wait at his desk.

Alice walked into the classroom and looked at the board to learn the lesson plan for the day and frowned when it wasnt there. This made Alice a bit nervous as she had no idea what they would be learning. She just sighed and made her way to her seat and sat down. She looked around and realized she was the first one to arrive. This made her even more nervous. She didnt want to seem like a goodie goodie

Dewey enjoyed being back from break but knew that all the drama would just get worse. He entered the Transfigurations classroom to see one other student there. Glancing over at board, he let out a small sigh. He was not the type of kid who was exactly the skilled type of magic and if he had, to be honest, the kid was a menace. Looking at the board nodding and looked at the other student who was in the classroom, and thought why not maybe talk for a bit. "Did you have a good break?"

Dru didn't really care about what had been going on in the world. Once he found out about Azkaban's newest resident, the boy was shocked and not really being one who supported either side. He entered the class to see there had been no lesson plan on board which left him to be curious. Taking a seat in the back of the room, he got his belongings and placed them on the desk letting out a simple smirk as he looked for a moment around the room. The Slytherin proceded with looking at the door to see if anyone he knew would decide to attend Transfigurations.

Alice looked over at the voice of a new student. She gave him a small smile "My break was good. How about yours?" She asked. She didnt know his name, but he was familiar. He obviously had classes with her "Im Alice, by the way." She did not give her last name, as she didnt want to be recognized as Neville Longbottoms daughter. Not that there was anything wrong with her dad, but she didnt wanna be bombarded with war hero questions.

Abeline entered the classroom and looked at the only other students to arrive. A lion, a badger, and a snake. What happens when those three walk into a bar? She asked herself with a laugh. She decided to sit closer to her house mate than one of the other two. She wasnt sitting directly next to him, but in the vicinity of him. She nodded at him and leaned back in her chair.

Mckenna walked in and her eyes immediately went to Drustan. She smiled and walked over and sat beside him "Hey." She said pulling her materials out of her bag and setting them up on the table

"That is awesome, my break was pretty average. I had to deal with my parent praising my sister most of the time," he said with a small smile looking at the girl who was rather cute. "That's a nice name and my name is Dewey." who looked gave her another smile and he was curious to see if maybe he would be allowed to sit down. "Would you mind if I sit by you?"

Dru watched as another student from his house came in and he didn't feel so alone. Even though he knew that once Rhesus came in that he would more than likely get distracted. He nodded back at the other Slytherin and when he saw McKenna enter it made the class a little more interesting as he looked at her and smiled. "It's good to see someone I like attend. Becuase before you came in their were only younger years in the class. Which makes the socializing part a little awkward."

Alice smiled at the boy and giggled softly "Nice to meet you, Dewey. That is a rather interesting name you got there. Sure, you can sit." She said moving her bag off the seat next to her "I gotta ask, where did you get the name from? Dewey. Is it a nickname?"

Mckenna laughed a bit and looked up at Drustan, even sitting he was much taller than her. "I would hope you would be willing to socialize with me." She said biting her lip gently and looking up at him

Cherry entered class feeling quite glad that she didn't have to deal with any sort of restriction for it. She just wanted to be over this condition, but that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Waving at the professor, she took a seat.

"Thank you so much. I will try my best not to annoy you," said Dewey taking a seat by Alice, as he proceeded to get his things out of his bag and placing them on the desk. He sighed when she brought up his name, "It's my actual name, unfortunately. I like to believe that my mother got the name from a muggle show called Malcolm in the Middle. My older sister has a much better name than me, and her name is Spencer. She is also treated much better than me." replied Dewey in an embarrassed tone. His name was not his choice and in many ways, Dewey enjoyed his name. "Your name is old but common."

He let out a laugh at McKenna's reply, "I am willing to socialize with any fine looking girl." said Drustan with a sly smirk. The Gryffindor was beautiful in his mind and he knew that if his parents knew, then Drustan would be in trouble. "I am just waiting for my friend Rhesus to come and join the Transfiguration train," said Drustan, hoping he did not offend McKenna.

Jenna entered the Transfigurations classroom and hoped that it would be a quality class she would be taking. She had to recover from how things went the year prior, and when she saw there was no lesson plan. The Ravenclaw shook her head as she went to the closest seat to the front, completely ignoring the other students who were talking. She sat back in her seat waiting for the lesson to begin so it would be a worthwhile experience.

Mckenna laughed a bit. SHe knew Drustan had a thing for her, and she had one for him as well. But both of them were a bit to nervous to act on those feelings "Well then. When he arrives I will make sure to change seats. Wouldnt want you big bad Slytherin Reputation tainted by being seen with a Gryffindor would we?" She asked teasing. She was hoping he would ask her to stay though.

Alice smiled "I like it. Its unique." SHe said referring to his name "I was named after my grandmother. She and my grandfather were put in St Mungos under permanent brain damage after being under the cruciatus curse for too long."

Dru may have been the golden child of his family and most of his friends were Slytherins. The boy didn't hate the other houses and that was because his siblings were in other houses. His brother was a former Gryffindor and with that, he looked at McKenna letting out a small sigh. "You don't have to leave, and if you want I will tell Rhesus to leave. I could care less about my reputation it's not like I am going to know half these people. I am the only Slytherin out of my siblings, my brother happened to a Gryffindor." he said with a small sigh.

"I wouldnt ask that of you. He is your friend. Therefore, Im probably going to be around him alot. So I may as well get to know him." She said with a smile and her blue eyes lit up a bit. She looked around and noticed a few other students entered the room. Athena Black, Ashton Steel, Alayna Avery and Blake Foxston. A variety of Slytherin and Gryffindors. She turned back to Dru "Besides. Maybe our houses can learn something from us?"

Dewey gave Alice a smile, "Thanks and I sometimes think my parents were drunk when they named me." he said giving Alice a grin not really wanting to reveal who his parents are. "At least you were named after someone, instead of being named after a character on a tv show or even some stupid muggle system called the Dewey Decimal Code," he said knowing he would probably be looked at weird for looking up some sort of muggle system.

Alice couldnt help but laugh "Thats kind of adorable. Looking up reasons for your name. At least it makes it more interesting. You get to find out. I was just told." She said shrugging a bit before pushing her dark brown hair behind her ear "Spencer? Thats your sisters name you said. Was she named after that one show... Pretty Little Liars? No. If shes older than she was born much before the show aired."

Sharona entered class holding her books in hand; she was honestly sick of everything going on in the world at the moment. The world was going to shit in her opinion, and Harry Potter being placed in Azkaban was the icing on the cake. Taking a seat, she started to wait for the professor to start the lesson.

Watching as students walked in, Alberich decided to put the students into groups on work on mastering the spell together once they had all arrived. It would help take the stress of teaching off him as he would need to devote more of his time to training in case anything were to happen to his students or his family. "Hello, students! I hope you all enjoyed your winter holidays. You are free to socialize until instruction is given, but please keep the volume to a reasonable level. As always, please sign the attendance sheet in the back of the room to make both of our lives easier."

He smiled at Alice's comment about it being cute. "Yeah but it's kind of annoying because my parents don't really bother with me, so I had to find out my name, on my own terms." sighed the Gryffindor, because despite his father's reputation, sure his father had been a good guy around his friends, but when it came to his children. The man was far from good and only knew how to favorite his oldest daughter who did well at everything. "Actually I don't know what my sister was named after. Like you said, my sister was born like five or six years before that show even aired." smiled Dewey. After he said that, the boy saw the professor finally say something that had regarded the attendance. Which caused him to smirk, "Looks like it's going to begin soon. Maybe we will learn about something interesting today you know."

He knew how his best friend felt about him talking to other houses, but he didn't really care. Listening to McKenna talk, he nodded letting out a small sigh. "There is too much bad blood between the two houses. Plus so many Gryffindors are too nervous to even speak to Slytherins because they believe we're all death eaters. Even though that is not even true." Drustan said leaning back in his chair, and before he could do anything Professor Largo spoke about doing attendance, and how they were to keep it at a reasonable level that made him laugh. "I would like to see these people try to be quiet."

Alice listened and nodded "I hope we do. I love transfiguration. Its one of my favorite subjects." She said "Next to Herbology. I gained my fathers love for the subject." She said pushing a strand of hair from her face as she waited for the professor to continue and actually begin the lesson.

Mckenna nodded in agreement "I know a few Slytherins that are Death Eaters and I know many that arent. Like you for instance. Youre not, and thats why I like you." She said before blushing realizing she just admitted to liking him "I mean... you know. Thats why I like you as a friend." She said her voice getting a bit higher as she spoke

"Yeah there are some Slytherins who are, but just because we may not be a committed death eater. Does not mean that we don't support the movement." sighed the Slytherin, hoping his side would not be revealed to McKenna because he cared about her. He looked around the room letting out a small sigh. "I know what you were talking about McKenna, but the sad part is, not all of us have the right to choose whose side we support."

Dewey enjoyed most of his classes to an extent, but if he could the boy would do other things. But he knew that if he did the boy did skip any of his classes, his parents would never let him hear the end of it. "I like all the subjects, but if I could I would more than likely have to choose Flying because I am a Quidditch player." smiled the boy. His father had been the Gryffindor captain, who was also on reserve to later play for Puddlemere United. "If I had to choose any other class though it would most definitely have to be probably this class or maybe even Potions. Since I am not really good with plants." sighed the Gryffindor.

Mckenna listened to him and reached out her hand and placed it on top of his "Its ok. I understand. Not everyone had the choice." She said looking up and locking her eyes with his. She gave him a comforting smile "After class wanna go for a walk? Just you and me?" She asked wanting a bit of alone time with him to get to know him and his story better

Alice nodded "I dont really flying all too much. Im afraid of heights." She said with a blush. She hated being afraid of things, but it was what it was. She grabbed her quill and parchment ready to take notes "I hope its a good lesson."
